maybe the whole ridiculous process doesnt need to take 2 goddamn years next time?

Maybe we can have a month of primary and a solid 2 months of campaigning and debates. Raise money but give it all to charity

The fight for 2020 begins tomorrow.
Kasich 2020 and Cruz 2020 kick off tomorrow regardless of who wins tonight.

Canada: we complained that this last election lasted longer than any other in history:

SIX WEEKS. no primaries. just 6 weeks of compaigning, the guy who wins starts the next day.

Pretty sure he means European parliamentary system ...

We are essentially a 2 party system federally ... we do have other parties 2 vote for but the liberals or conservative always win and when we have a minority it usually never works that well anymore.

We are not essentially a two-party system in any way, shape, or form. Just because we have 2 parties that are most popular, that doesn't mean we essentially have a two-party system at all.

if Jack Layton lived, the political landscape in canada would be MUCH different than it is today. the balance of power would have shifted to 1/3-1/3-1/3. it's not a two party system. if it was, there wouldn't have been a 5 party debate years ago.

We made an early dinner tonight that was most definitely a thinly veiled excuse to start drinking.

No explanation. Vote is extremely early but margins are large enough in places Trump should win and close enough in places he shouldn't. So all this means is it is close enough at this late stage where a tip in his favour is possible. "Possible" is all he can ask for.
