I got this by figuring out that the 2 possibilities to get 36 is either 9X2X2=36 or 6X6X1. Then, because of the last statement about the oldest child showed that the twins could not have been 6 because then there would be no oldest child. Therefore the children are 9, 2, and 2

what about her having a four year-old a set of three year-old twins? 4*3=12*3=36 (4*3*3)
