SOLD: My Sealed Live on 10 Legs Vinyl for your Avocado (good condition)

Hello!

I recently picked up a sealed LO10L - and it's not that I don't have a use for it, but I prefer studio albums over the live ones. If anyone is willing to trade me their Avocado for it, I'd be happy to make the deal. I intend on playing my records, but I'll keep this one sealed for a while. I'm guessing someone may want it that way.

Cheers,

Mike

Yeah, LO10L goes for what? $60? Avocado goes for a solid $300+. But good luck! ;)

Well, this made me actually look for the first time since maybe 2 years ago, when they were readily available for $60 or so. There is someone trying to sell one for $250 on ebay right now. And some joker on Amazon has one listed at $500 - $600. Some more on Euro Amazons for 60 - 120 Euros, found one for $100 on a US website. However, there are 2016 ebay sales for less than $60 as well. So now that I'm looking, I am not surprised OP thinks Avocado and LO10L might be similar in value ..... Seriously, if anyone actually starts buying that album for those kinds of amounts, that will be really irritating. This thing was sold only 5 years ago in retail stores. There is no reason for the value to have gone up like that. Seems like the album has fallen prey to buyers not knowing what they're doing (and I hope this conversation isn't pissing off the OP!).

Yeah, but I edited my post a bit. There are also sales for around $50 - $60 just in the past couple of months. It's all over the place (and actual completed sales are the lower prices). Reflection of an unknowledgeable vinyl market.

Avocado doesn't go for near $300 anymore either. Opened have been going for around $150.

Live on ten legs was such a let down when comparing it to live on two legs. I might have listened to live on ten legs once if that.
Good luck with your trade op!

Not the orginal. I'm sure some people have been scammed and bought the bootleg for that much though. The average price for the real thing is still over $300 on discogs, used. There is one for $350 or so on ebay right now, and another with a starting bid of $150, but unless there is something seriously wrong with it is will go for way more than that. It is probably still the most expensive original PJ studio album, no? Sure, maybe a great deal comes along here and there (or someone got the boot), but average price is still high. (Got mine for 175 from a fellow 10C member).

Avocado will set you back anywhere from 175-250 depending on condition.
I would say that both Binaural and RA will fetch you the same maybe more than Avocado. Tho the possibility of reissues in the air now may drive those prices down in the future.

I'm only talking about the original not the fakes. Originals aren't near $300 anymore. If you do a search of recent sales you'll see.

I'll always keep mine just to keep the PJ vinyl collection as complete as possible... but I'm not sure I'll ever listen to it again. I think I've played it twice since I bought it a few years ago.

Okay, so the bottom has fallen out of the PJ vinyl market? Why would the prices suddenly tumble by more than half, and why is the average on discogs so high, with the last sale in July, and the lowest sale price at $275 and the highest at $408? Ebay isn't showing a different story either. I feel like the bootleg sales and the original sales are being mixed together to come up with these low prices guys, and perhaps a couple unusual/insider sales. That doesn't determine average prices though (just like Buck's recent yard sale purchase of like 6 original PJ albums for $50 didn't cause Binaural to now only be worth $8). Unless there is an official reissue, prices don't tumble that suddenly. But hey, if you all have actual proof that Avocado is now commonly going for only $100 - $150 I'd love to see it!

Last two sold on Ebay for $177.50 and $256.00. That last one is pretty close to $300.00

You seem to be missing I've done several searches all over the place, and I'm still convinced that the average price is still right around $300. You can't just look at one sale on ebay and determine the going value. You need to look at multiple sources. And there are currently two sales happening that, while not completed yet, have the item priced at $300+.... But let's wait and see what those go for. Hey, if Avocado suddenly dropped in market value by 50% for no apparent reason, that would be a very interesting tumble in the market to consider, and I will enjoy trying to figure out what happened to the PJ vinyl market to make such a thing occur.

Ebay clearly has the most sales and generally is the most indicative. Its not a single sale im referring to its several. The current sales you mention mean nothing as they have not sold. The one at $349 includes shipping and has been relisted multiple times. The other one has zero bids starting at $150. Plus you have to take into account the 10%

Well this is the thing! If that thing goes for $150 or $200 or whatever, why?? Why would the value just plummet like that?? I am also very curious to see if this is actually the case! I still haven't seen any definitive proof suggesting that it is, but if I do, how will this trend affect other PJ records?? Will Binaural and Riot Act suddenly also go way down in price? Has interest in PJ vinyl just stopped dead? If so, why????

The reissues of NC/Yield may have drummed up the idea/hope that more are on the way soon.
I know of someone who just paid $200 flat for an opened Avocado, in VG+ condition. Like I said above, I'd say depending on condition, $175-250 is the prices I've seen for them.
2feighn just sold his for $100..which is definitely not normal and a hell of a deal.
