You just proved yourself that the best show for a person is the one they went to. So Eddie NYC night 2 for me since I was 3rd row.

I was partial to Toronto I (Believe You Me, The Seeker, first time playing Long May You Run) - a really nice show. Tor II was kinda insane with all the Neil-love - and Chi I (Hurt being enough reason alone)

  • It's hard not to say the ones that you personally went to.

I thought Montreal I had a great crowd and Eddie first did Blackbird there. But from what I've read, set-list wise, Toronto got the best with all the Neil songs, and Chicago with Hurt.

Yeah, that's not really an answer, I know.

Too tough to decide since the 3 I went to all were great for different reasons.

Going by setlist I would say Chicago 1 and 2 are close.

The Toronto show where he did Believe you Me would have beenn great to see.

I loved Milwaukee because I saw the Fonz parade. HAHA!!!

Id either say toronto 2 or newark. dont know much about toronto 2 but it sonds like it was amazing with all the neil songs.
    Newark kicked ass.

Amazing Standing O at the BEGINNING of the concert, we had to be told to sit.

    Tim Robbins in the house

    Unthought Known first time ever

Masters of War was a great performance, very emotional in my opinion

    Turning Japanese lol

    Elderly Woman stand up sing-a-long

Eddie felt tough....with his badass motherfuckin ukulele

    YELLOW LEDBETTER STORY

Let my love open the door, with make and female sing-a-long parts

ARC, what more can I say.

Chandlelier lowering during hard sun, and Eddie having the crowd hold him up

    Respectful Crowd

    EXCELLENT NIGHT!

As i only saw both Montreal and Toronto shows, I would have to say Toronto 2 was the best followed by Montreal 2.

That being said they were all great shows except for the f'n loogin drunken frat boys yelling out requests and interupting ed all the time...honestly i can get past that.

Also, i'm sure all the other shows on the tour were great. Only wish i could have taken in more.

Highights of Toronto 2: Venue (massey Hall) and ed's love in with Neil Young and veneration of Neil's Live at Massey Hall album, Liam's lead on Old man, EJ's harmonies on Helpless.

although single best moment was Ed's version of "the Seeker" during Toronto 1.

I would have to go with Toronto night 2 for the following reasons:

    1. 4 neil covers
    2. Unplanned version of Patriot
    3. 2nd encore included 3 songs (old man, RITFW and hard sun) as opposed to usually only being hard sun
    4. Eddie on drums for Old Man
    5. Crowd standing through the entire second encore with lights on

I only went to TO 1 & 2, but there was something very magical about night 2. The setlist and the crowd and just something completely indescribable.

Even listening to it again is hard, because I want to actually relive it, you know?

Rarely have I felt this way after any show I've been to.

Well said, I agree, Toronto 2 was my fav as well. But have to throw in there "Masters of War" and "Arc" as highlights as well.

I thought the DC shows were better then Boston shows which is likely due to the timing of them during the tour............

    SHOW COUNT: (164) 1990's=3, 2000's=53, 2010/20's=108, US=118, CAN=15, Europe=20 ,New Zealand=4, Australia=5
    Mexico=1, Colombia=1

Milwaukee may not have been the best, but I think it gets the award for most infamous! Hard Sun was incredible that night, Ed was very intense....or pissed.

Anyone answering anything but Toronto II or Chicago I is clearly was not at either and is choosing a show they attended.
  • Was at Santa Barbara and San Diego I. I'd have to say Toronto II was the best show of the entire tour based on setlist, runtime, and visual energy.

I have footage from this show and Vedder is really bringing his A game. Just amazing seeing him on drums..

San Diego I was best West Coast show IMO. Hehe..
