Crowded House sucks. I don't care if he's a fan. I get the connection. The song sucks. He has 3 songs and selects to do a cover of that drek? Do you understand my post now?
Though I do wonder if it was more a tip to Howard Stern tipping his hat to Garry Schandling. Hey, now!
Overall, quite underwhelming. I expected very little and got less. Though I do have People Have the Power going through my brain now. So, there's that.
yeah that crowded house song was pretty bad. Talk about a snooze fest, I'm really glad I didn't go.
Could someone post the set list for all the songs Ed sang? I know he sang with Cat Stevens and also Chris Martin, but did he do any solo songs?
Father & Son with Cat Stevens Don't Dream It's Over with Chris Martin Nothingman with Chris Martin on the piano and backing vocals. People Have the Power with Chris Martin
Got more Vedder yesterday than I expected. Really enjoyed the Martin collaboration. Global Citizen has become something that I enjoy checking in on via TV and the webs each fall. Haven't been back since the first year with Neil, the Foo, Black Keys and Band of Horses, but I appreciate what they are doing in raising awareness and not charging ridiculous prices. It's an interesting way to go about it.

I'm not a fan of Chris Martin. Ed should have done a true solo set, I'm simply not a fan of Chris Martin mooching off Eddie's spotlight. Obviously Ed doesn't see it like that but the visual of seeing them together seemed wrong to me. Eddie is the man then you have Chris Martin who's not the man, just seemed not right. Also, nothing with Metallica which would have been insanely awesome, could have been better, should have been better.

Chris Martin taking the spotlight from Ed? Only a Pearl Jam fan would see it that way. I'm willing to bet most of the crowd was wondering who that old guy was singing with Chris Martin.
I guess, glad I didn't attend, not a crowd I'd want to be in. Coldplay has been around for a little while now too so it's not like Chris Martin is some sort of spring chicken. The cause is great, the lineup, not so much in my humble opinion

Chris Martin plays a huge role in the running of the festival and was incrediblly gracious with his comments on PJ last year. While not a fan of Coldplay Chris Martin is a very likeable and charitable guy like ED. It doesn't surprise me at all those 2 would perform together.
my complaint would be why did Metallica only get 30 minutes. they were great and I'm not even that big of a Metallica fan.

Christ Martin signed on in 2015 to curate the Global Citizens' Festival for the next 15years. That speaks for itself.

I'm not here trying to bash Chris Martin, I simply not a big fan of his music/band. If one decides to support the cause that Global Citizens' is representing that's awesome but that doesn't mean you have to automatically like the music.

I give extra credit to those that are willing to sign with Ed.
