Haha. Wandas joke about/to Ricky Gervais. I should watch her whole thing before commenting on here.

Today we all learnt a lesson Pearl Jamily.

I saw a clip where someone asked Bill what he thought about the MN killing. He kind of brushed it off and said something like "we're here for the awards...not really prepared to talk about that but it was awful and they shouldn't have killed her"....something to that effect.

    I still like Bill
He didn’t brush the killing off.
not the killing....I meant he brushed off the question initially and then he decided to give a brief answer

Wow, I thought I had friends here.  Well, fuck me... I guess.

Maybe I'll save my 30 bucks this coming March after all.  I don't need this shit and no one needs my sorry old ass here.

    Fuck it.

I'm not understanding your reaction Brian. How would any of this suggest you don't have friends here?

You said, "God spare me from white dudes acting offended about a black man calling some other white dude a cracker, lol. I mean honestly, actually caring about that is pretty dumb, and if you really need someone to explain why, you won't ever get it,"  after a post I made.  I took that to be a reaction to my post.  If that's not what you meant, I'm very sorry for my response.

I should also apologize to everyone here as well for being quick to getting irate.  I've got some really bad chronic pain issues going on that also heavily interfere with sleep.  But that's not excuse for me being irate.  I'm very sorry. (And I'm seeing another specialist today, so maybe I'll be getting some help... I hope.)

I'm not saying the guy is a saint or is perfect or anything, but no matter what one thinks of Maher, it was absolutely tasteless to dis the man that way- one of the nominees for the award- in front of the whole crowd.  Sorry, I have no respect for that kind of trash talking shit.

I am absolutely bummed that I started this hate-fest of a thread.

Imagine being a republican or moderate. I mean really do it, pretend that you are. Then opine what threads here are not how you describe, either towards members or public figures.

I mean, there are and have been several here over the years, and the only perpetual whining has come from islamaphobes, magas, and…a few others.
Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

I don't even know who had an issue with what Chappelle said, lol. I just know someone appeared to. In any case, I was speaking generally! ;)
Chronic pain is the worst - sorry you're not feeling well.

Thank you, A, both for verification and kind words.

    Again, big-time apologies.

My new orthopedic specialist today basically told me the only thing that will help is physical therapy and time, perhaps as much as a year.  I told him that sounded like a lot of pain.  He said, "You're a 74 year old man, what did you expect?"  Remembering that even more than just words, most of communication is tone of voice, facial expression, and body language, I knew the doc meant that as a kind and empathetic statement.  :-)

Ricky Gervais winning kinda pokes holes in that theory. But I get it. We all need to grind in the grievance economy.

Humor is like music, everybody has their own likes and dislikes.  When people say "This band sucks" or "That guy is not funny", it's just personal taste and besides (thank you Grace), it "doesn't mean shit to a tree."
