how to people define fair and balance? can you give an example of an unfair and non balance report?
Yes, pretty much everything Ryszard Kapuściński ever wrote.
What makes him fair and balance?
Sorry to say, "made". He died in 2007, at the age of 74.
Kapuściński was a fearless observer who on several occasions and at great risk to his own life went into places in many countries (particularly third world countries) to give us revealing glimpses at what was happening. I'm guess what made him both so courageous and honest was his own experiences and survival as a child in Poland during the Nazi invasion. He was considered one of the most credible journalists the world has ever seen. Truly an amazing man.
Where are people like this in journalism today? Few can stand next to Kapuściński that way.
Some good places to start with Kapuściński are his books Imperiun, Another Day of Life, The Soccer War. All are excellent.

Come on. Have a half a brain and watch cnn, msnbc or fox for ten minutes and please create your own opinion.
sorry are you telling me to have a half a brain?
That I am. Watch cnn and use half your brain and see if you can see liberal bias. Then take that same half a brain and watch Fox News and see if you can pick up conservative bias. If you need specific examples of bias for each channel you probably aren't too educated on politics.
I always thought the notion of unbiased news was ridiculous. The public would be better served if everything wasn't presented with false equivalency. We take everything as gospel and don't exercise our critical thinking skills anymore. Give me propaganda from all sides all I'll decide who's right or wrong on a given topic. In the end, bad news outlets will lose credibility and die.
The fact that news stations are owned by rich people with political agendas of their own should be obvious enough.
The only way you and I can change that is to not buy the products they push. True some are hard to avoid so the next best thing is to buy the most durable and take care of it. I have a Toyota because it has the best chance of lasting longest, needing replaced least often. My local computer shop sold me a Toshiba laptop because I asked for one that would last as long as possible. I use JĀSÖN toothpast instead of Crest, etc. etc. And I don't watch TV news.
