CNN no longer fair

We know the bias Fox News has. We know the bias MSNBC has. I use to look towards CNN for some fairness and balance. Now with this election, the coverage that CNN is providing all day shows their disdain for Trump. It is too the point that I am turning to Fox News for fairness and balance. I have even started visiting Brietbart for information.

I would argue that being fair and balanced would automatically make you anti Trump.

They have been this way at the start of the election cycle and I haven't watched them since just like when Hannity comes on Fox I turn away from that....Bill O'reilly is someone I watch regularly as he at least tries to remain neutral

Lets get real tho no much unbias in news anymore

I'm up in Canada so out of the three CNN did seem balanced but since the summer started noticed all the hosts from the am to the pm are totally for Clinton.

I never thought CNN was particularly balanced. You might get closer to balance with BBC or Al Jazeera, but there is no such thing as a major US news network that comes close to being a balanced news source IMO, and there hasn't been for many many years. Frankly, I don't think America is capable of it anymore. The news media is way too invested in making money to be able to offer balance... same with most things in America, really.

You're probably right about that. The bottom line and growing profits are really the only things that matter. It's a systemic problem here, and a religion to some.

    Indeed.
That said... I do wonder just what a "balanced" news network is supposed to look like as far as Americans are concerned. I mean, say someone on the right wants things to be "balanced". Does that mean they expect a news network to actually look at real facts? Or does it mean they simply want a network to be more "fair" by being more positive about the Republicans, for example? Because for me, a truly balanced news network would still be tearing the GOP apart on a regular basis. I think that the profound failure of the GOP on so many levels and failure that is so much worse than the Democrats is an objective fact, not an unbalanced, biased view ... I don't know how Republicans would feel about that in terms of balance. I think a lot of people think balance should just mean that their own subjective opinions are better represented.

  • It depends what you are watching. Each network generally has pretty fair/balanced nightly newscasts....even Fox (Shepard Smith)

If you tune in and watch commentary it will be bias.

I'm sorry but this makes no sense. Your very first line says that Fox is biased and then you turn to them for fairness and balance? Then you go a step further and rope Breitbart into the unbiased conversation?
Come on, man. At least try. Like posted above, there's Al Jazeera, BBC, etc as very reliable options.
I'm a liberal fella but I watch Fox News. Why? I have no clue. I think I like to know the conservative narrative myself straight from the horses mouth (that woman on The Five who used to be married to future president Gavin Newsom). Christ almighty are the news anchors and contributors on Fox terrible. Just awful.

The last time I watched CNN was in a waiting room a few weeks ago. I thought it was one of those Hollywood Stars shows at first. All shine and fluff, no substance.

Better to read widely, be in touch with what's happening culturally, watch how people act, hear what they say and stay in touch with the planet. A lot can be learned about what's going on in the world by paying attention to plant and animal life, your environment, the weather, the air and water. Lots of big clues there.

Fox is biased and they don't hide that fact. CNN used to claim "Fair and Balanced" but now I find them so against Trump in order to bring things back to balance I have to turn to Fox and Brietbart to even things out.

This morning in the 7am hour was a classic example where Cuomo (sp?) wouldn't event let the Trump supporter (Borris) finish a sentence while Begala a Clinton supporter talked and laughed with the host.

One other point is that CNN would slam any Trump supporter when they began to spoke of Clintons health until it became true.

just incase people are wondering. there is CNN international who tends to be more fair. but my questions is this:
can you show reason why you believe CNN is not fair and balanced?
