I think there are a bunch of sites out there that work together. I noticed a "VIP" box #53 in section 202 at Camden is listed on Ticketsnow.com as well as Rockcitytickets.com. Makes me wonder which one actually has the ticket?0

I’m stunned . . . . that just makes me sick.can't escape from the common rule

It's the same broker just using mulitple sites... they'll remove them from the other sites as soon as they sell on one.Just waiting for my next show...0 -
samnation wrote:I get what you're saying about the market deciding the price. But the problem with that is it shuts out people with lower incomes. The price gets dictated by whoever has got the most money to blow. Meanwhile the person working a job making $8/hr and has been a huge fan for 15 years gets priced out completely. Some may say "Well tough luck" but that's a sure way to have a lot of angry fans out there who are basically being told to get lost until they can give the band more money.
It all depends on what you value more - making your music available to your entire fanbase or selling out to the highest bidder and saying "screw the fanbase."
Finally someone gets it !!! Thank you so much
It just ain't Rock N Roll to charge any fan a $100 for a friggin rawk concert0 -

the wolf wrote:yeah, and who would have thought that ticket master would turn into the halfway decent good guy? i mean, at this point they are just trying to get in on the deal. but like the dude from ticket master said, they would rather not deal with automated brokers.
take that for what its worth, but hell, at least TM is feeling our pain a bit.
its all a scam.
fuckers indeed.
that's exactly what I thought. What a douche this guy must be to make TM look like the good guys. At least in comparison to him. I always just assumed TM was in bed with guys like this, giving them first crack at the tickets they want, for a markup.0 -

rewind to the summer of 1996 when we had to call Pearl Jam directly to get tickets. they were mailed. sure there were glitches. but it makes you appreciate the effort that went into how pearl jam tried to fight this sort of thing even without the internet.I love to turn you on0

hobbes wrote:compared to what ticketmaster is considering doing i think scalping isn't that bad of a way to go.
from what i understand for all major events will turn into auction based buying. thus the market will dictate how much a certain show is worth. it's going to be that way for sporting events soon from what i've read. ticketmaster is bullshit.0 -
good lord. what a system i try to compete with and end up in the second level at 10:00 and 40 seconds.0
