What can we link to birds, tweeting and "singing the blues" is the good question
It's fairly well-accepted that this birdy is tweeting about a tour. I think there's lots of angles that could mean this includes a tour of the Southern US.
As folks have already mentioned The Blues has its home in the Mississippi River Delta. Perhaps Memphis and New Orleans are in the mix.
US Highway 61 is the Blues Highway. Memphis, St. Louis, New Orleans, Chicago, and Kansas City all have strong Blues tradition. Perhaps this will be a tour of cities with rich musical heritage.
What if fans in the US will have a chance to see Pearl Jam playing at the House of Blues concert venues across the country? Missing that would certainly have some of us singing the blues. HOB has venues in Orlando, New Orleans, Myrtle Beach (SC), Dallas, and Atlanta's HiFi Buys Amphitheatre.
Another thing crossed my mind. It's a stretch, but if Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah starts playing on tenclub.net, we'll know it's about the south. The Disney movie Song of the South featured a song by that name. It has lines about today being a wonderful day and about Mr. Bluebird being on my shoulder.
Realistically, I think we'll see a return to Europe for festivals and shows in Northern Europe and the UK. Then we'll also see select dates in North America, including the South, NY, Boston, Seattle, and some surprises like Festivals (Austin City Limits Festival would be a great choice).
Here's to our wild imaginations! Let them run free for a couple of days!

The Bluebird Songs
The Bluebird Songs is a monthly periodical that was printed in excess of one thousand copies from April 2005 to March 2006. The periodical was published in York, Pennsylvania with two primary distribution routes around York College and HACC. These routes gained considerable criticism because the community believed that Hugh Kane, the owner of The Bluebird Songs, attempted to unnecessarily stifle liberal political belonging to college students.
One of the reasons of The Bluebird Songs discontinuation of publication was Hugh Kane's infamous column describing the "collective views" of the staff about the incident in Abu Gharib in January 2006. Ironically, the views of Kane were not as controversial as the ways in which Kane presented them.
While Kane stated that the staff was primarily indifferent to the torture, one of the staff writers, Jason Fletcher, admitted that he and the rest of the staff had no idea that Kane planned on publishing the column.
Fletcher said, "[Kane] was indifferent to our ideas and our views. One of the reasons [the staff writers] participated in Bluebird Songs was that the very publication emphasized freedom of speech and encouraged diverse views on political issues. Sure, some people believe that the injustices done to the Abu Gharib inmates were barbarious, and sure, some people believe that the injustices were minor and petty. However, for Kane to say that 'we unanimously agree' without our consent, is disrupting the very basis of the purpose of Bluebird Songs."
Fletcher left the periodical in February 2006, and with him followed many of the primary, ongoing editorial staff. The last issue was in March 2006, with noticeably less controversial and critical articles, however, by April 2006, there was mass disinterest and rising printing costs, leading to the disbandment of The Bluebird Songs. http://www.answers.com/topic/the-bluebird-songs
Abu Gharib footnote: The city is the site of Abu Ghraib prison, which was one of the sites where political dissidents were incarcerated under former ruler Saddam Hussein. Many of these dissidents were executed. In 2003, Abu Ghraib prison earned international notoriety and the scorn of human rights advocates for alleged abuses by members of the United States Army Reserve during the U.S. occupation of Iraq.

We know there were many extra songs left off the 'Avocado' album. We know the band is unhappy about the war. We've heard they will be doing another album. We know they mentioned 'guacamole' prior to Avocado's release. There were theories that the album was named for the Avocado Declaration. The Avocado album cover is blue. The leftover songs could be put into a new album called Bluebird. == 10C members get an exclusive sneak preview of one/more songs off that album.

BLUEBIRD blows the whistle on extensive political abuse of psychiatry in North America in the second half of the 20th century. Many thousands of prisoners and mental patients were subjected to unethical mind control experiments by leading psychiatrists and medical schools. Organized academic psychiatry has never acknowledged this history. The network of mind control doctors involved in BLUEBIRD has done a great deal of harm to the field of psychiatry and to psychiatric patients. http://www.wanttoknow.info/bluebird10pg
