Very cool OP. On a tangent, how has the industry changed through digital music in regards to promos and advances of albums - I am sure they are all sent digitally now....never been in the industry so don't know, but all I can imagine into the 90s was people working for a label, getting cool promo stuff etc, cool advances of music. But through change with the internet and mp3s etc, what promo items occur now as I am sure many labels went under with all the illegal copying etc.
Who works for a label now? What sorta shit do you get sent? I think the answer is obvious, but would like to know from an insider

Sorry for the tangent OP.
I worked for labels for 17 years and now I have my own biz in the industry working with labels / bands / management to help get artists AirPlay and tour marketing
Promo items and cd pros rare these days. Basic stuff ( shirts, etc) and once in a while a cool thing. Last couple years been about the releases on vinyl.

Hi @JP218404 - Longs shot, but have to ask. Since you worked for Sony/Epic at the right time and are still connected. Any chance you have a lead on my holy grail? I'm looking for newsletter #1. See thread for more details.

Wow! Thanks friend. Happy to give you a finders fee for your trouble if you do in fact find one.
Not a problem at all.
While I've been watching this forum from a far for years and just started getting more involved I find it amazing the people on here, their passion, their caring for others and the way this band has developed into a family.
May sound cheesy but being an east coast guy who has been following them since their first NYC show ever, kinda makes me proud to know that a band I decided to embrace has had such an influence on so many people over these 25 years.
Kudos to all of you for keeping the band alive.
