Just started collecting posters. Have 8, all of shows I've been to (6). Unable to go to shows til recently and still missing Lollapalooza '07. Also been resisting the very slippery slope that is buying posters of shows I didn't attend.
Three reasons to buy in my mind: 1) To hang on the wall 2) As an investment 3) OCD need to have it
If you fall into buckets 1 or 2 then buy it (as long as you think it is a good investment), and if you fall into bucket 3 then your house will end up like something you see on those hoarding videos.
I have 4 Pearl Jam posters. Philly I '13, MSG I '16, Fenway '16 Ames Monster and Mark5 Card. Very strict about only getting posters for the shows I attend.

That's a good restriction to put on yourself. I just got into posters around the 2013 tour and started buying up everything I thought was cool. Then I realized quickly I had wayyyyy too fuckin many of them. I even got rid of a bunch for shows that I did attend. It actually felt liberating to get rid of them. And one ended up paying for the security deposit for my apartment when I moved last year. A nice place to live or a giant paper with molten steel being poured into a guitar-shaped mold? I'll take the roof over my head.

Not going to answer this on the grounds that I might incriminate myself. I am not nearly the worst offender here but I do have quite a lot of them. Hung in my house now I have about 20 (need to count again) but have a lot more that are not hung. Started giving some away to good homes since my wife is done with my hanging them in the house and the only thing I can do now is wallpaper my office with them. Most are not from shows I attended. I do not have all of the shows I have been to but have some. For me, it is more about the art on the poster than the connection from being there.
I'm in the same boat with being well aware that I have too many posters and that I need to downsize. I was adamant about not collecting posters because I had no space for them, but then I got a cheap portfolio and it doesnt take up that much space. I have won several in raffles, which is a contributing factor. It started out with ONE that I loved and I was at the show so I bought it off the 10c (Sydney 14) and snowballed from there. I'm happy with buying posters for their artwork, like the Thomas Porto Alegre. There's a bunch of shows I attended which I won't buy the poster for because I dislike it (or won't pay aftermarket prices - lookin' at you $400 crackerjack!)
I think it's just the wave of collecting really. You start out late, there's a bunch of money spent playing catch up, but then it levels out. Right now I've got all the posters I desperately wanted. There's a small handful that I'd buy if the price were low for shows I attended but am indifferent to the artwork.
66 PJ/ EV posters. 26 of them are framed. I have 21 of shows I've been to.
Nice... Same number 66 PJ/EV posters... 16 or so from shows I've been to, and didn't buy any at Fenway....

I have been lucky enough to attend some great PJ concerts and obtain the following posters from those shows. I think this is everything in my collection. I do have duplicates of a few of these as I purchase a 2nd copy for my nephew when he attends a show with me.

I guess that's 36 total. Some framed....some in storage. I just wish they released a poster for the 1996 Toledo, Ohio concert during their No Code tour...... That's the only concert I don't have a poster from.

I think it's time to start unloading some of those..but only to me!! Lol
6. Only one of a show I didn't attend. Had a few more that I traded or sold. Still fairly new to the poster game I just want one for every show I've attended. Only one more to go.
About 60, 33 of shows I've been to and the others just for the art. (Love the Trieste poster, hangs in dinning room. For the faithful!!) All framed except for the wrigley shows, haven't had time to frame yet except for the eagle n subway posters, because they are awesome!! Waiting for election before I hang the Trump poster at work, have republican coworkers, don't want to offend!! By the way, Ames posters ROCK!! Love the Greenvile and Lexington posters!!
Question for all you folks who have them framed. Any advice on where & how? Do you pay the insane prices to have them custom framed? , because some of them will go for over $300 just for the frame? I don't want to get a cheap plastic frame that will ruin the artwork. As of now I only have 3 posters and have been in search of a decent frame supplier for quite some time. Cheers!

I have gotten all of mine through Hollywood Poster Frames. Simple black metal, no mat so posters speak for themselves and I have more wall space, UV archival glass, 50 to 75 a pop. Really happy with them, have done 14 or so.
Nine, plus ACL 09 and 14. All shows I've attended. I only buy for shows I've been to. I'm missing two. Seattle 98 runs $250 and up, so don't have that yet, and of course I was 17 when I went to PJ in Portland 93. Poster was the last thing on my mind and the Kozik now goes for $2500, so...yeah.
Just to remind myself I'll never own these, here is the cheaper of my two missing show posters currently on Ebay:
I just realized that everyone is talking pj posters only. I also attend other shows and pick up posters from those artists too.
The variants, aps and four per show gets to be a little much. I made a slight dent recently and sold a few. I'm thinking about doing only APs and selling the show editions.
I have multiples of posters that I should get rid of too, Cracker Jack, skyline and LA98 to name a few (all shows I've attended) but I know those will always sell so it's hard to let go of those and only have 1...
I have 4 posters from a Yeah yeah yeah show I attended where I have two show, AP and a rare variant. Do I really need all of them, lol?!? No but I can't get rid of them.

Yeah, I do too but just assumed it was PJ. If it's a nice silkscreen poster I try to pick it one up at every show I go to. Have a Ben Harper (artist signed, from show), Foo Fighters, David Gray/Amos Lee (musician signed, from show), The Who, all from Portland.
And I'm with you, I'm not an art collector, so generally don't care if it's an AP. Although, because Feldman offered his Wrigley at $40 and it had been eating me that I didn't grab one at the shows, I did pick that up quickly.
EV - Minneapolis '2011. Munk One. My fav PJ related poster ever
PJ-Camden 98 PJ- Vic 07 variant
me too. If I ever get around to framing any of my posters, the Minnie Munk will be the first. Great show, great poster. And a 7" vinyl from that show to boot!
