Good luck man - I predict these are going to be the next Benaroya Hall LP set.

$140 looks about the best option on the bay.

And that is quite the prediction, hoping it's that awesome to listen to
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

I think the bay market will be similar to the Vault vinyl releases: pre-release and very first copies start high, then the market will be flooded with copies for sale and prices drop, then as fewer copies are offered the prices will go back up. I'm looking for someone here who doesn't want theirs but who also don't or won't gauge buyers like me.

I like how you think and agree

To know how rare would be is to find out how many were sold.

    Does thirdman disclose that info?

They are really good about not giving out that kind of information.

I hear ya on it being a big item but times are very different now than back then. Back then vinyl was a totally different animal and people didn't see it as an investment. Also pj is prob at the height of their popularity now compared to close to their low of all time back then. Nowadays, vinyl is super hot, people bought the shit outta this set and it really wasn't limited at all, it was a presale. I'm sure I'm wrong because I usually am but this will prob settle in the $200-$300 range in 10 years Imo.

Sorry to hijack yer thread, op. Someone get this dude one for a fair price!

Id say Vault 3 will be worth more than this.
Especially since its the first official live concert released in this format.

I don't see this becoming next Benny either. There was a presale and i suppose much more copies were sold than the Benny. Glad I got one though!
I hope you find one in a decent price. Just wait for everyone to receive their copy before you make any move to Ebay

There's no doubt Third Man sold a ton of these, then manufactured accordingly in the last 8 weeks. I'm really pissed that I missed the email about pre-release purchasing, and I wasn't checking any PJ news until it was too late.

Glad I got Vault 3+4+5 on vinyl... those are keepers!

Hmm, i agree demand will be high eventually. But a lot of us got extras anticipating demand, so i dont think it will get too crazy. I have 3 coming between my wife and I. Not trading any at this time though.

Why does anyone need multiple copies of the same album?

The fact that everyone wants there to be a "next benaroya hall" is the exact reason there will never be another benaroya hall.

Let me clarify - I don't want this to be the next $10000000 PJ item. I'm saying with the way collecting has risen since October 2004, I bet this will reach similar 'status' in time. Carry on OP!

We all learned form Benny -
    Kind of.

But we all really learned form Vault 3.

With the craze vinyl has taken on- there won't be another Benny until Minidiscs make their come back. :) People know better than to miss the on sale but there are still more copies available.

Seriously. Vinyl use to be cheap. now you go to half price book or other used music stores and all the prices are jacked up. Something that was $3 five years ago is now $10, for the same crappy album.
