    or

two blazing nights at the united center

    or

Stadiums are only the worst if you have shitty tickets, and the problem is stadiums are so big that 80% of the tickets are shitty or really shitty :)

A stadium show where you're up front and close. It's pretty amazing. You're up close and in the thick of it, but you can feel the energy from 60000 people rocking out. The hard part is getting decent tickets to stadium shows.

Would love a solider field show. Missed the 1st one. But as long as Theo is with the cubs and Wrigley keeps their summer concert series going, it is a pretty safe bet that when PJ comes through Chicago it will only be at the Friendly confines. Double the size of the United Center. Charitable cause alignment. More control/access for 10C seating . . . Can't see it changing.

This. Stadium shows suck unless you pay a ridiculous amount of money to be up close.

Play the UC again! Can't believe they haven't played there since 2009.

We've all seen the band enough times not to worry so much about seats right? The sound critics know all the lyrics it's not really an issue..the stadium shows always allow movement thought throught the venue...we'll have plenty more uc and Wrigley shows..next one should be big!!

Agreed. As a SOX fan and a PJ fan, I enjoyed the Wrigley shows. But wouldn't wear any of the Cubby Blue merch they were hawking.

I mean, come on..."Good guys wear black."

I've always preferred Allstate Arena (Rosemont horizon) over The UC for concerts.

I haven't been to Allstate for a concert in a long time...is there that much of a difference in sound quality? Allstate is such a dump....when that place is full, you can barely move around in the concourses there....it's so narrow.

Next Chicago show at Soldier!!! With all the high ticket price discussion it's the perfect time to announce a $100-$150 per ticket football stadium show. It's coming...

These are the only two big venues they should play in the area.

After seeing u2 at Soldier last summer, I was reminded why its such a shitty place to see a show. getting in/out is such a clusterfuck. At least with Wrigley or the UC, you can go to a bar/restaurant, get an uber or public transportation before and after.

While its nice to have a big communal experience with the most amount of people, the logistics of the venue outweigh the experience. I think Wrigley is probably peak Chicago PJ at this point and I'm 100% fine with it.

Actually another downside is supporting the Bears organization.
This is still true. But I’d add the NFL too.

Agreed.  Seeing any type of game or concert at Soldier Field is a huge pain in the ass.  Getting in and out of there is the absolute worst.  Would much rather they play the UC over Wrigley, but at this point in their career I'll never complain about being able to see PJ and sleeping in my own bed...can't beat that.

Good points gentlemen..I was actually joking since Wrigley is basically confirmed. Personally I'm just a bit tired of ed in bed with the cubs and prefer to switch things up from time to time.

Man, I f'n love Chicago! I love going up there to see concerts. I had a total blast at Wrigley in '16. That said, I'm with you on this. I feel like there's other places I'd rather see them play at this point. I'll most likely miss them in Chicago this year since I'm going to Europe for three shows and might look into catching some of those other venues here in the States later this summer.

As long as Theo is associated with the cubs, PJ will not play anywhere else in the city.

The only thing with Wrigley is, for me it's kind of GA or bust. Unless you have a low ten club #, which I don't...you're probably going to be watching the video screen all night if you have reserved seats. Where with arenas, high ten club # seats are fine.
