I think this may be my new favourite boot (replacing San Diego 06), and I'm only 10 songs in. The band are really into (particularly Ed and Matt). 1/2 is the best version I've ever heard. To be honest, I tend to skip Corduroy on the boots just because I've heard it so, so often but the performance here is blistering. Very pleased with my purchase :D
I dont know if its my favorite but top 5 easily, sounds great!!!! I had my reserves, considering the other one I have from this tour is columbia.

I'm so surprised how great the boot sounds. Everything is very very clear and well mixed. I don't think Ive ever heard a boot where Ed sounded so damn good. In so many songs he almost sounds like he did in 1998, mixed with the maturity and professionalism of 2006, and overall just sounding so relaxed and perfect. Easily Eds best performance of Corduroy and Down in years. Not to mention the sick version of Black. For all those who said Eds voice is gone, I'm sorry but he hasn't sounded better than he has on this tour. He is mixing the energy of the early 90s with the control of a true professional that he is. I thought 2006 was great, but damn hes blown the shit out if it. And Matt? Easily his best year.
My first PJ show to witness was at Bonnaroo. How is that for lucky?

Oh please, most overrated show of the tour.

Yea!!! I'm so excited to hear this; Bonnaroo was my first full PJ concert ever (after seeing them 'open' for U2 in Hawaii '06, I was hooked) and bloody fantastic.... I can't wait for my CD to arrive!!!!

Very good sound. Better than Tampa or Columbia.
Great versions of WMA, Porch, 1/2 Full, Black and Release.
    And Matt is AMAZING!
Let's say knowledge is a tree, yeah.

If I'm not mistaken, you weren't there so your comment is without merit. Nevermind the fact that you've made it clear in other threads that you weren't impressed with this show (I guess based only on the AUD recording). We get it, time to move on.

Listening to the Official boot right now. Still feel the same way. Sounds like they really pumped up the sound with EQ, probably explains why it took so long to release. It's a great show of course, just like every Pearl Jam show, but I think it's time to move on from thinking it was the BEST show. It just wasn't. Better than San Diego 06?? NO WAY!!

San Diego has always been my favorite and maybe I am a tad biased because I was at Bonnaroo on the rail but I will say with certainty it is definitely a classic show. Really, though, there's no way everyone would ever agree about a "greatest" or "best" show ever but I do believe this one belongs in the discussion

Yea, I'm not saying its the best show ever (it's the best I've been to) just saying that unless you (the generic "you") are at a show there really is no way to make a good analysis of that show.

If you are talking exclusively about the boots, then obviously your opinion has merit.

Yes it is out.... I guess Im the only one who thinks this boot is absolutely incredible? I mean check out betterman, EASILY the most intense version, and the ending is hilarious.

Nope!!! Not alone at all!!! By far the best!!!! I have a ton of boot legs and this one, right now, is tops!!! I was there though so I may be a little bias. I was on Disc one this morning and actuall was 20 min late to work as I was sitting in my car just jamming!!

Your crazy, the bonnaroo boot is flat out the best.

Ed is so incredibly into it. Listen to him on corduroy, half full, daughter, love reign o'er me, betterman, black, porch, alive.

Listen to matts playing here, its the best Ive heard from him.

The ending of betterman is hilarious, as well as the ending of watchtower. That is the SICKEST ending PJ has ever done to a song.

Bonnaroo is the best bootleg I've gotten so far with this tour. With Columbia and MSG 1 being the other two I got. I think his voice still sounds kind of weak.. although it's definitely better than Columbia. When I listen to that show all I can think is 'somebody get that man a glass of water'.. or tell him to stop smoking. Especially on Why Go... sounds like he's losing his voice.

I wasn't at any of the shows, so I don't have a bias.. I'm just going by what I hear on the boots. I'd much rather listen to any of the Europe '06 shows though. Eddie's voice is such an important aspect to their sound!
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.

I'm listening now for the first time, i'm at the end of Corduroy. I've heard all the boots so far this year and i think this is the best sounding show in terms of mixing. It sounds very full and very powerful.

I'm not sure about it being the best bootleg though, because i listened to MSG 1 last night and it blew me away. Crowd sounds great, the band sounds great, i love it!

And no, i'm not biased in any way because i'm just a simple little UK fan who hasn't been to any shows on this tour.

Downloading this boot RIGHT NOW! Thanks for the great reviews everyone. Though I wasn't there in person, I did see Radiohead at Bonnaroo in '06 so I know the venue. Imagining PJ there is insane. Can't wait to hear this!!

the only low spot is Boom improving during the Black solo

and Eddie being hesitant to speak his mind at times because he is in Bush country.

I was at both, and with a few weeks to soak it in, I disagree. San Diego used to hold my personal top spot, but Bonnaroo is now the best Pearl Jam show I've ever seen and heard. So, better than San Diego?? YES WAY!!

My only complaint with the boot is Mike is mixed a bit too low. He can be heard, certainly, but in songs like Down you can tell he isn't up at the level the others are.

Yea, that's why during Chris Rock's show the night before about 98% of the audience cheered when he mentioned Obama's name.

Yes i got the 3 disc set. Sounds amazing!

To me, much better recording than past tours. Very crisp
