ISO Eddie Wrigley 16 pick (vintage Cubs bear logo front/pinstriped 23 back)

A new grail for me. Saw an Instagram post with an Eddie pick from Night 1 at Wrigley. It's got a vintage Cubs cubbie bear head logo on the front with EV on the forehead, and it has Cubs blue pinstripes on the back with a 23. Growing up, Ryne Sandberg was my baseball idol, so this would be a huge get for me – that's Ryno's number. I was in GA on Night 1, row 2 rail on Mike's side. I put in the work in the GA line, so would love to snag this for an eventual frame job from the first show. ANYONE HAVE ONE THEY'LL PART WITH? Name your price in cash, or in merch trade. I'm wondering if there are SEVERAL. I've now heard about the 1 – for Jose Cardenal, his favorite Cubs player and buddy. We've seen the 23 – Ryne Sandberg. But I've never heard him talk about being a particular Sandberg fan. It COULD just be a nod to Michael Jordan – after all, the Wrigley pullover has a 23 on the back, presumably as a nod to Jordan the way I presumed the 33 on the back of the Fenway pullover was a nod to Larry Bird.

But I think it would be cool as hell if there were a bunch of cubbie bear head picks with different numbers on the backs: 1 for Cardenal, then the others with the numbers of jerseys retired by the Cubs: 10 for Ron Santo, 14 for Ernie Banks, 23 for Sandberg, 26 for Billy Williams and 31 for Fergie Jenkins/Greg Maddux. That's probably too ambitious, but hey – a suggestion for the next time they play Wrigley!

Yeah, but for my purposes, for a show at Wrigley Field, a 23 on the back with Cubs pinstripes – that's all Ryno, all the time.

Ed's birthday is on the 23rd. It probably has no relation to Sandberg but I agree with you, that pick would be cool to have if you're a fan. I played 2B all the way up through high school and he's my all-time favorite player as well.
