Wrigley Merch.... Long wait!

Be prepared to wait a long time in line... Also the flippers are in full force from what I saw purchased yesterday and viewing a certain auction site this morning. I was in line yesterday at 825am and got in to purchase at 245p. I was about 140th in line and they had 4 people working the booth. Everything was available too. I will say I'm glad I now do not have to worry about buying anything further this weekend. Good luck to all!

I'm glad you got what you wanted, but my god 4 hours? Aren't there some task rabbit people you can pay to wait in line for you while you explore the city (gives away evil strategy)?

You went on the day only one place was open, with 3 employees. They'll be 20 merch stands inside on Saturday

All vaild points. I live here and had the day off. I just expected it to move much faster, not having to wait 5 hours from open. However, I wanted to make sure I got what I wanted, at face price, for my own collection. I also will not have to worry about anything I wanted selling out, keeping my merch safe in GA Sat. or my seats Mon or the weather either day. I can go to both shows and know I can just enjoy the show. I hope everyone gets what they want. I wanted to ensure the same for myself. Then I wanted to let people know how it went in case they decide to wait in line before other jobs or appointments in their day. Again, good luck to all!

I won't be waiting if it's like that. Will try my luck inside or maybe just not buy anything at all. Thanks for the heads up though.

Recheck your math. OP waited close to 6 1/2 hours. That's about par for the course from what I read on this board yesterday. Either way, it's completely outrageous.

Just picked up my tickets, checked out the full merch corral, and kept on walking. Passed a guy who waited roughly 8a-2p.

So just wondering, what are they doing differently at Wrigley than what they did at Fenway? Anything? Or is there just something about Wrigley that brings way more merch buyers? Or is the staff different and inefficient at the Wrigley booths?

Only having one location is probably the root of the problem. Fenway had 3 locations open.

Oh, only one location?? I didn't realize that. There were 2 or 3 in 2013. Why in the fuck would they do that? How odd.

Here's the thing about Wrigley merch for all you folks that aren't here, being internet quarterbacks...

Yes, it's a long wait. Yesterday I went to the Metro after the Cubs game and the line was about one block long. It was a small side room & they were letting 5 in at a time. I arrived at 5, got in at 7. Everything was in stock except posters and stickers. What I observed when I was there was everyone picking about 3 or 4 shirts in 3 different sizes, holding them up to their bodies, etc. HOW THE FUCK DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT SIZE T-SHIRT YOU WEAR?! It's people like this that hold everything up. Then you have people who have no idea what they want. You just waited in line for hours. You know what's available. Make up your damn mind while you wait!

Today was a longer wait but it was well organized. I got most of the stuff I wanted last night - shirt, coozie, button, keychain. Stickers and posters were sold out so that's what I lined up for this morning. Got the subway poster & 2 stickers. 5 hours waiting in line but I got there at 8. Once the tent opened it was about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs and I was thru. First come, first served. 6 or 7 ppl working, with zig zag lines roped off the entire way. The line moved constantly but it was the only place open and there was a shitload of people. It's a long wait but it's not a shit show by any means!

Wrigley isn't as convenient as Fenway. The Cubs were in town thru yesterday & Wrigleyville is one giant construction zone. The Cubs don't own a bunch of local shops like the Red Sox do at Fenway. There's no need to compare Wrigley to Fenway. They're different animals. Prepare to wait, make friends, get your stuff, and enjoy the shows.
