Why Scratch the Good Songs?

Amazing setlist last night, and don't want to be a downer, but why scratch the best songs on the setlist.

Red Mosquito
Come Back
Save You

These 3 songs are all killer songs in their own way.

Why, as listeners, do we sometimes hit the "Skip" button? Because we don't feel like listening to that particular song right at that moment. No big deal.

Plus, the guys could feel their potential performance of a certain song isn't up to snuff and they're not quite ready to play it live. Again, no big deal.

Either way last nights setlist was on point. They fucking killed it! I had posted about night 1's setlist and had said it was cool but didn't really flow as well as their typical show. Last night they put the pedal down and there was no let up. Best show I've seen hands down. I think if there wasn't the 10:30 curfew we would have got to see those three. I was surprised that they actually went past 10:30 with Ledbetter.

I wondered the same thing, but only about Red Mosquito and Save you. They are two songs I never get tired of hearing.

Could also be a time thing. They played later than expected last night, and Ed spoke less and the encore breaks were shorter
I know I was born and I know that I'll die. The in between is mine.
  • I gather Ed goes by the "feel" of the crowd and the band. He makes the setlist a few hours prior to the show.

Yeah I thought Night 2 was the better of the 2 shows. First night was great, but as others have said, did not flow as well.

Tom Hamilton was there. Something had to be bumped!

I'll totally fine with those tunes being bumped but I can see people bummed out about it.

    Good is subjective.

And...who would've even known what was replaced had the setlist not been released and then previewed?

Don't look at it to begin with, and voila! No disappointment.

They rarely play Red Mosquito so bumping that song doesn't make any sense but hey they are in charge right!

I obviously wasn't at either show but I thought the setlist on night one was better, than night 2 but im in the minority I guess and im sure the crowd had a lot to do with it as well from what ive been reading

They're only the best songs to you.

I'm fine never hearing comeback or red mosquito. I'd take Save you any day though :)
