Yep, I was so happy when they just kept coming back and playing. Was it 3 hours and 40 minutes originally? Or 3 20? I know a lot of crowd noise between encores was cut out on the boot, but you can't blame the band for taking a few minutes break in between a show that long. When it passed the 2.5 hour mark I just remember telling my wife "it's gonna be 3 CDs!" and then it really went longer. Awesome memories.

exactly i kept turning to the security guard on my isle seat and telling her you are not getting home anytime soon man that was the best night of my concert experiences ...... :)

Back at the beginning, Perry Ferrell said PJ would get 3 hours.

it just had all the correct ingredients the crowd was fantastic ,it was a saturday night ,it was the last show of the that leg of tour and i believe their wasn't a curfew, i was there still haven't come close to seeing them just leave it all there on that stage i have seen great shows from them but this one i still rank at the top in my opinion ......
Once again, this was the worst crowd I've seen at a PJ show. They didn't get into it till the end. I was all the way in the back, directly across from the stage, and I could see the entire crowd. If I had a dollar for every person sitting I'd have a shitload of dollars. It was a great show and the die hards never quit, but the crowd was just apalling. It got to the point that my friend sat down. I kicked him.

2 hours still a pretty decent set, more than your usual festival.

yeah if you sat at the back i guess it might of seemed that way but up front it was great, they didn't play that long just to play that long if you listen to the boot he does address the loudness of the crowd, the band feeds off the crowd that's why it's such a long show ,man it must suck to be at the back at these shows .......

no way. they will go on at 8 and play until 1030. taking a small fine.

I agree with jlew24asu. The ten o'clock cutoff in Chicago is real...the band seems generous about absorbing fines for going over, but Lolla just inked a multi-year deal with Chicago Parks (thru 2011 at Grant Park) and I don't see the organizers encouraging a complete disregard for the regulations.

If it goes a bit longer than 2 hours, that's a bonus.

Honestly, I would probably leave after hour 3. 4 hours would be too much of a good thing.

I've seen sets as short as ten songs , check the Northwest School Benefit setlist Paramount , and loved them as much as 30+ at Gorge or Philly. For that which I will receive on Sunday ,I will be forever thankful. THANK YOU in advance Pearl Jam!!!

I doubt it will go til midnight, but I'm willing to bet that they were granted a 4 hr set to give them some breathing room to play an awesome concert, nothing rushed or brief. An actual memorable way to end Lolla.

my vote goes to the standard 2-2.5 hour show. They might break curfew by 30 min or so, but i doubt anything longer. As far as i'm concerned it'll be a fucking experience to see the band play to some 80, 000 people. The hits will be that much better when you've got 50,000 more people singing it than usual. Whatever they play will make me more than happy.
