Free parking on BU campus after 6. Take Storrow Drive to Fenway exit. Take right off exit and first right at light and there will be meter parking. Don't have to feed meters after 6.

Meters in the city all run till 8:00 nowadays.

  • I'm coming form outside Boston. I think driving would be a bitch and parking would be expensive. I'm wondering if I should drive to just outside and then take an Uber in. Or should I try to drive to a T stop and take the T in. I rarely go to Boston or Fenway. What would be the easiest????
    Thanks

I'm coming from RI, too. Take the exit off of 95\128 north for the Riverside T-stop. Instead of taking a right off the exit to go to the T station, take a left, then your first right after you go back over the highway. There is a little neighborhood there where you can park (just don't block driveways). Then it's about a 5 minute walk to the Riverside T. From there, a 20 minute ride to the Fenway T stop.
That looks like a good plan. Thanks.
My pleasure. The only other possible way, if you like to gamble, is if you're heading up early in the day is to park on the Riverway. Believe it or not, during the summer I typically find spots if I'm there before 3.
I probably won't be going up that early. Are you gonna be driving to the Riverside stop and taking the T from there?
I'm actually staying at a friend's apartment near BC for the evening.

Want a good laugh? I asked this same question to Reddit and the results were not what I expected
Wife and I are probably going to end doing Uber rather than dealing with the Bus.

Just a heads up for people wanting to take redline from Braintree on Sunday. Not sure if this was said in another thread...

    Red Line: Upcoming

This Weekend: Buses replacing Red Line service between Braintree and Quincy Center stations on August 6-7 from start to end of service.
Due to necessary track and signal work, buses will replace Red Line trains between Braintree and Quincy Center stations in both directions from start to end of service on Saturday, August 6, 2016, and Sunday, August 7, 2016.

Regular Red Line train service will resume at the start of service on Monday, August 8, 2016. All shuttle bus stops are accessible for persons with disabilities.

    Shuttling the following stops:
    Quincy Center
    Quincy Adams
    Braintree

Does't mean you can't take it, just takes a bit longer and you might think it is a hassle.

Pro-tip if you're parking downtown - cheapest spot is below Post Office Square.

Which is nowhere near Fenway though, a pretty long walk, best to take the T from there.
