Will be interesting for sure to see how 9% of America voted for Trump and the other 91% couldn't stop him.

Nice use of past and present tense in the same sentence. Future tense too?

And I bet 90% that bitch and moan about the nominee did not vote.

Voting is for people that fall for thinking they can change things.
Says the guy with the Ron Paul 2012 pic.
And says the guy that doesn't fall for it anymore.

I never have high expectations for what my vote will do, never. But I do see it as a nudge in the right direction and voting is such a simple thing to do, especially because I vote absentee and in the mail it goes with whatever else I'm mailing. It seems hugely cynical to me when others try to tell me I'm wasting my time and money when it's so little time, so little money to give a little nudge and at the least, have to opportunity to put in my two cents worth. And of course, there are many, many other things we can do to make a difference in our world.

Or are we all screwed anyway and we should just go pound sand and to hell with it all? How cynical do we want to get here?

Well, in our last two federal elections I (and many others) voted for the Green Party candidate in our riding. She won both times and became the first Green Party member federally elected. In her time in office she has been widely recognized as a productive and hardworking MP who is generally respected. She is bringing a whole range of issues to greater public attention, as well as raising the profile of the Green Party. And that's not insignificant, in my view.
