Honestly, I didn't even realize they still made snap backs. I thought the Velcro (which in all other clothing is probably pretty silly) had replaced it for adjustables (or the metal clip with the material slide which is a bit of a pain in the ass). I have over 100 hats, and I probably have 1 snap back somewhere in there that was a remnant of my teenage years that I haven't gotten around to tossing. But, vinyl made a comeback, so maybe the boys are trying to set the trend here, too.

I wouldn't call it snobbery on the snapback versus fitted. Fitted feels better, and the stupid plastic won't be an issue in getting destroyed, etc. Just like it a hell of a lot better, especially when I wear them every time I'm not in the office.
That being said, this is a great design, and supports my favorite team, so was still a no-brainer for me.

So my plan.....we're about to close on a new house. I'll have a dedicated "vinyl room" as im calling it. All my PJ stuff is going on the walls. For some reason the picture of the Sox and Cubs hats together has me hooked and wanting that displayed on a shelf somewhere. I dont even wear hats they just look cool. I just dont know if i can get away with spending $80 on two hats i'll never wear

Snapbacks are inferior imo and simply won't last over time. They could have easily opted for the Flexfit types with two sizes(S/M or L/XL) or the ones with adjustable fabric straps.
Got my hat today in the mail today! I am a hat person, and never see myself wearing this hat unless I started driving trains. I was hoping it could be shaped to look better. Not a very workable hat at all. Colors are awesome but the hat style sucks. Just sits way up on the head. To make it look half way OK you have to pull it down to you eyes, or backwards. I will be shocked to see what they look like on fans going to the shows. Might be a good way to get in you drink of choice.
