It was only two bidders that took the poster from $300 to $800.....total shill bidding by insiders just to drive perceived value up. But after the talk right now subsides, all anyone will see is the reported price and then @elwayvedder's follow up sale of $500.

THAT is the goal of a crazy outlier sale, driving the overall future value up.....making it go from a consistent $300 poster to a $500 poster. Looks like mission accomplished.

Are you suggesting I had part in any of what occurred on eBay? I saw the bidding, made a comment and I got 3 offers of all $400 or more. I took the one for $500

No @elwayvedder, I did not say you had ANYTHING to do with the eBay sale.

Your sale was a direct result of what transpired with the $810 "sale".

Yesterday, you don't even think about selling your poster.....or you would have gotten $350 or so for it if you were trying to sell.

Today, you're able to get $500 for because of three buyer's panic. All because of the eBay sale.....welcome to the new normal for the Pitt.

I wouldn't blame one sale on someone being able to sell theirs for $500. There's already been a couple $500 range sales on this print prior to elwayvedders. I don't think an $800 sale will be the new norm for this either, yet. It's a print that's highly sought after and the supply is starting to thin out as they fall into hands that are unwilling to let go. This happens quite often as I'm sure you're aware. Regardless of the reason for a new market being set, fake sales or otherwise, the new market becomes what buyers are willing to pay. Panic buying generally equates to overpaying, not sure if $500 will be considered just that but time will tell. If it was a panic buy then the market will settle back to that $350 range.

I wouldn't have been a seller yesterday at $350 or today at $500, I may be a seller at $800.

Also, who cares? Unless maybe this is a poster that you're after and you don't like seeing the price being driven up or are you just looking out for others?

The norm was unarguably in the $350 range, and that will now shift upwards. And who cares? Anyone who either has this poster, wants this poster, or may be inclined to now sell this poster....

Ah gotcha. Sorry for being overly too insensitive lol and yes you are correct. A few weeks ago I was thinking of letting it go for 350 but when I started getting higher offers yesterday, it was a no brainer
