Can someone teach me guitar so I can play good enough to buy one of these... Just to warn you I know absolutely nothing about playing electric guitar, but I am pretty good at air guitar...
For anyone interested. Wildwood is absolutely fantastic to deal with. Im not a Les Paul guy, but this certainly gets me going. Keep an eye on this page, and I'll bet Greg Koch (amazing player) will do a demo, that is, if they don't sell it first.
Can anyone explain to me the differences between the models. The price differences are so significant. I can't image that just having a signature on the guitar neck warrants a $3000 price increase. What am I missing?
I should add that I am drooling over the $6000 version but I am trying to figure out what I'd be missing out on, if anything, other than the signature.
1 - VOS - this one is not aged and not signed. It's basically a Standard Historic spec 1959 Les Paul reissue with a special serial number, and painted the "McCready Burst" color. It will include a COA, but I don't know if it is hand signed or not. MAP is $6799. There are 150 of these available.
2 - Aged / Unsigned - This one is also a Standard Historic spec 1959 Les Paul reissue, but it has been aged to match the wear and tear on McCready's guitar. This one includes a COA that IS hand signed by Mike McCready. It also comes in an aged case, and includes a letter telling a lot of the history about McCready's Les Paul. MAP is $8299. There are 100 of these available.
3 - Aged / Signed - This one is made to Gibson's True Historic specs, and it has been aged to match the wear and tear on McCready's guitar. True Historic spec is different from a Standard Historic. When you see both side by side, there's no question that extra effort goes into the True Historic. Whatever Gibsons's voodoo is... It's real! This one has a metal COA, but the COA is not hand signed. The guitar is hand signed on the back of the headstock. This version also comes with an aged case, and a letter telling a lot of the history about McCready's Les Paul. MAP is $11499. There are 50 of these available.
Hope this info helps!

Hey, Mike!! If you are reading this thread could you personally delivery one to my house and I will pay COD. Thanks. Oh, and please feel free to plug it in and play it in my basement cause I don't know how to play it. BYOA (bring your own amp) or I will buy one for then. Pm me for my address...
But seriously... I don't want to be crazy here. Seems little bit unrealistic. So, Mike, if you have any personally used guitars that you don't like and want to get rid of, just deliver one of those signed instead. I mean, I don't need the Les Paul...
^ this guy is awesome, I love his casual walk through of the guitar!
