If the tickets says 6:30? I think 90 minutes is jacked up Axl treatment. An hour or less and it should be more like 30-40 minutes in keeping who how they did it on the last leg.
but do you think everyone is gonna be in their seats at 715? theres gonna be alot of "casual" fans there that are probably just gonna assume it starts around 8 like most other concerts. i doubt pj will go on at 715 if its half empty.
what time did they go on at wrigley in 2013?
They have a hard curfew this time though and I am willing to bet they will not break up there set because people are late.

I don't recall...was there but was buzzed and not worried about it. (Although with the rain, we should have been!) If the "casual" fan isn't Ass In Seat by 45 minutes after the listed start time....they are not casual fans, they are idiots who wasted their money and a seat for someone who might actually want to see the band he paid money toward. Who sits 45 minutes after the listed start times?
Paul McCartney went on closer to 800pm, played until almost 1100pm. So I think the curfew is different based on the performer, not necessarily the night of the week (since this was a Sunday and the Dead ended at 1030pm on a Fri and Sat).
Curfews are not performer-based. I would assume the noise curfew is actually 11pm but Fenway and their management ask for performers to be finished by 10:30. They certainly don't rewrite the laws based on who is on stage, although if anyone deserves to have special circumstances applied it's Sir Paul
Went to all 3 shows at Fenway this past weekend ( 2 Dead - 1 McCartney). All 3 had a 6:30 start time on the ticket. On Friday, the Dead went on about 6:40 and were done by 10:30 (with an hour plus set break in between sets.) Yeah, didn't see that coming and was about 30 minutes late. On Saturday they went on between 6:45 and 6:50 and were again done by 10:30. McCartney didn't go on until around 8:15 and was done just before 11 with no set break. The security lines for all 3 shows were a complete nightmare. Budget at LEAST 30 to 40 minutes to get through security. All entrances require emptying all pockets and walking through metal detectors and all bags (including small pocketbooks) were thoroughly searched.

thanks for that tip, the security looks like it will be a bummer, are vapes allowed in? Were people smoking joints at the concert, as in out open?
I was hoping that the band or management would put something out on social media about telling people when they should be in their seats. I'm in the camp of being in seats by 7 for a probable 7:30 start time. And the pictures of the lines getting in for McCartney looked horrendous. I'm expecting a clusterfuck. I
When I was at Wrigley in 2013, the ticket said 7:30 and I'd say almost if not everyone was in their seats for that time. They didn't come on until about an hour later, but I'll just be on the safe side and be in my section for 6:30. Doors open at 5:30 so you have time to hang out

Agree -- I will be in my seat before 7 and if they start earlier on night 1 I will be in earlier. (Only going to night 2)
Petty and foo fighters were over at 10:30 sharp. Pj will be same so figure 7:45 start as mentioned above.
I would definitely be in my seat by 7:00. 7:45 is a huge risk if you ask me.
If you have field seats, it takes about a half hour to get from outside Fenway to your seats for a concert. If you plan to purchase a beverage or relieve yourself, I'd give yourself 45 minutes.

Field seats I wish! Good advice to those that are as fortunate.

Yeah, 2016 has been very kind to me, ticket wise. Got Philly 1 (good seats from public sale), Philly 2 (ehh seats from public sale), Fenway 1 (on the field from public sale), Fenway 2 (10C, fingers crossed), Temple of the Dog Philly (5th row!), Temple of the Dog NY (Floor section seats).
My wallet, however, is very unhappy with me.

Paul McCartney is a honey badger. He's one of the few that would go past 10:30 without consequence. PJ ill be 7:30-10:30pm

not necessarily! at the msg shows in 2003, night 1 they went on at 9pm and played till about 1145. night 2 me and a bunch of friends were going, i was at night 1 and said they went on at 9, so at 830 my friends decided to have 1 more round cuz they wouldnt be on for a half hour. i said eff that, im going in now just to be safe, i got to my seat right at 845 as the lights went out and they opened with crazy mary. never assume!

Who should I believe regarding the start time? Ten Club, or the fucks at Ticketmaster (still fuming over the TOTD fiasco for the Philly tickets)?
Am I the only one that sees the issue here with the Tenclubs said start time of 7:30? If they do start at 7:30 a lot of people are not going to be in their seats due to Pear Jam's known history of starting late. If they start later then 7:30 they are going to be fighting the curfew the whole show. Seems odd to me why they said 7:30 when non 10club tickets said 6:30.
I think if ticket times say 6:30, starting an hour later is pretty fair. Unless they plan on playing until 10:45-11:00, I'm pretty sure they'll be on stage by 7:30ish.
I just do not get why they said 7:30 for the Tenclub tickets. I am probably looking to much into and I myself will be there early, but I am just worried about the others that do what they have done for years and miss the start of the show.

sounds like the actual tenclub tickets will say 6:30 on them, and like all shows the band goes on after ticketed show time, but in this case they are letting you know what time the band takes the stage
I'm glad 10C let us know 7:30 is the scheduled start and I hope they go on right as scheduled.
Me too.... I want the full 3+ hour experience. No sense in delaying the start because folks are slackers and want to arrive as late as possible. I'm planning on being in line for entry by 6pm at the latest. Fenway is a beautiful ballpark. There are worse things than spending a little time in your seats watching folks fiie in and taking in the sights of the oldest ballpark in the nation.
