No active Cubs players or management will be there. They have a 10 game road trip starting Friday 8/19.

This is very true. But I would not be surprised to see a Cub legend of some sort.

The only Cubs legend died a year or 2 ago.

    I wouldn't mind a guest, but I don't really want a PJ20 redux.

Harsh. There has only been one Cub legend/Great? I could think of a few that are legends or Greats IMO. How about guys like Maddux, Sandberg, Dawson (Miami native!) Dunston to name a few.

Hopefully nobody. Pearl Jam is who I paid to see. If there's a special guest, they should announce it before tickets go on sale.

Maybe the OP meant like Cheap Trick or Sting showing up for a song? Not an opener,

Chris Cornell showing up to do a coupe Temple of the Dog songs would be a nice touch

I'm absolutely expecting something like in NY, where we get a guest for 1 song, then move on. Also, if they play for 4 or 5 hours, then I'd be OK with as many guests as they wanted, playing as many songs as they wanted!
Also, in my hunt for tickets, I am noticing that night 1 tickets are nearly impossible to come by, but there are more and more night 2 tickets coming available closer to face value. Seems like when the shows happen that way, they really blow the roof off of the undervalued shows.

I forgot about Sandberg. Dawson maybe too, but Maddux or Dunston is a stretch.

Oh, come on just go with it....lol

I know Jenkins is at about all of the Cub fan get togethers. My mom has season tickets and it seems like she's met him a dozen times.

Sandberg could be a possibility. Billy Williams as well. Dawson works with the Marlins front office & Dunston the same with the Giants, so they're out.

The record holder for RBIs in a season is a Cubs legend. A record that is likely never going to be broken unless steroids come back.

True, but I was just naming a few that are still around. But not impossible for them to make an appearance for Ed and partake in All the Way.

Hack Wilson. And he would've won MVP had they given the award that year. Only Chuck Klein had close enough numbers to Hack, but the Phillies were the worst team in MLB whereas the Cubs finished only 2 games behind the Cards for the NL Pennant.

He may not be a "legend" but the Chicago fans love him. His 20 strikeout game was legendary.

an appearance from the Hawk would be amazing. but very unlikely.
I will be rocking my Dawson jersey for one of the shows.

Cheap Trick, maybe Chris Cornell, possibly a Chicago former athlete and Randy Watson.

Yeah, I'm expecting Rick Nielsen to show up for one of the shows.

I'm not a fan of special guests. I'm there to see Pearl Jam, not a reunion set, nor Josh Homme, nor Liam Finn, Cheap Trick, Sting, Sleater Kinney or anyone else for that matter.
