The radio station called my phone and emailed me this morning asking if I want to introduce a song on a show tomorrow night. My phone was in the other room so I didn't hear it and didn't see the email until only a few mins ago. I replied saying I am still ok to do it even though they wanted to do it an hour ago.

    What I said....

Hi my name is ______ and I am from Melbourne. You’re listening to the j files on double j.

I love the Clash because of how diverse they were, so many genres of music they touched on, especially on the London Calling album. It is very hard to pick a favourite song. Safe European Home, Career Opportunities, Rock the Casbah and their cover of I Fought The Law stand out for me.

I love punk rock because it is raw and honest, it is real, it is a form of rock music accessible to budding musicians, there is nothing fake or pretentious about it. It definitely inspired me artistically, inspired me to pick up a guitar. It changed my taste in music and how I view the world. It’s given me courage to be myself.
    Spot on! Well done!
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.
