There he goes with his perfectly unkept Pearl Jam shirt from Urban Outfitters or local flea market. Never thought he'd Pearl Jam. Never.

He's been seen at some PJ shows and wearing other PJ shirts too, so I'm thinking he knows the music.
I think he probably knows a LOT about rock. He's actually a pretty talented rock musician. He plays the drums and the guitar very well.
It's pretty pathetic that this has become a big point of discussion among PJ fans, especially the way it's so negative and uninformed.

there was a similar blowup when he was seen wearing a Nirvana shirt. there was so much backlash from "fans" about how he "wasn't worthy" of wearing it. it was disgusting.

Both Krist and Courtney Love tweeted to him support, which to me was equally weird.

I totally think he deserves defending on this one, and fans reacting negatively to him wearing these shirts should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for a few different reasons.

I think it's awesome. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he had some PJ on his iPod. And he is a good musician as well. Might not be a big fan of his pop music but he is a famous musician for a reason

Agreed. Who cares if he wears the shirt? Does he need to take an entrance test on PJ history before we all declare him worthy of wearing a stupid shirt?

If he was wearing a BOH or MMJ shirt than I'd give him props. PJ is like the new Rolling Stones. Everyone knows "classic rock".

a reiteration. dude sucks as a person, it's pretty well documented. probably has been led by a few of the wrong people too. but if a music lover can't appreciate the little dude's talent as an artist, i'm not from the same planet as you. sure, the guy is a joke in mainstream media, especially concerning his behavior. look him up, he can rip the skins. from a young age, he had the love for real music. no matter what anyone thinks of him as a person, no one can deny his musical gift.

    good for him..
he has a bad reputation for the things we hear he's done
so what at least hes honest about it and doesnt lie or hide
about it therefore its easier to forgive one showing the truth
unlike those who hide away they cant be trusted and to me
    are sly dogs
justin is welcome in my home anytime because hes bold
with ugly truth or not, you will find more people are accepting
that way... we all do silly/or whatever things doesnt mean
if we reveal it we're condemned

An asshole or twat or what have you, whether honest about it or not, is still an asshole or twat or what have you to me.

Don't really care what he or other tools choose to wear - kind of like at a show. Doesn't impact me at all...and the reactions can be quite amusing.

Other than some poor choices in public behavior, it's low hanging fruit to shit on the guy. It usually just stems from some antiquated rockist belief.
