I was there, Jack Irons was at the after party and no one seemed to know who he was. He signed my friend's program. Also playing with Eddie just for the Kids Are Alright, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, he came out and played with them when PJ played the Fonda in July too.
It was a nice and quite unique set... with Ed, Flea and Jack. They sounded and looked great. A few of us were up front and it was worth passing up on the included grub to be able to witness this trio. Add the legendary Steve Jones in the mix... and there you have it. I did end up eating about a dozen of the free cookies afterwards.
A handful of us fans (along with the usual swarm of EBay Autograph Stalkerazzi) got to say, "Hey..." to Ed as he left the venue. He signed for everyone and chatted a bit. I did find out that the Gibson Les Paul with the Number '5' on it, wasn't Pete's stage guitar after all. He looked a little tired... but, not sick.
And another highlight for me... personally... meeting Steve Jones.

You know what I've noticed? Many musicians and actors are small... in stature, not in talent.
Like Sheryl Crow and Lisa Loeb are petite. So is Alanis and Liz Phair and all of the Go-Gos. Eddie seems so much bigger onstage... Mike is about the same height... as well as Flea, Fruciante and Anthony. Chris Shifflett of the Foo Fighters is shorter than you'd think and so is Nate. All the guys in Weezer, Billy Joe and Tre from Green Day... I guess the talent thing is compacted in the smaller frames.
Me... I'm about 6'1" and haven't got an ounce of talent.

The one that really surprized me... Sylvester Stallone. You'd think he was about 6'2", 224... naw... about 5'9". And Tom Cruise is short... really short.
