roumor is FALSE. I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who is there (his girlfriend's 13 year old son is in one of the opening opening acts, the kid's dad is Robert Downey Jr, fyi) anyway, he left me a message because he knows I'm a pj nut that he's going to see Ed tonight at the Fonda with about 500 other people. I called him and asked if Ed was there, he said hell yeah he's here, I just walked past him.
I lived out in LA for the past few years and I'm bummed tonight because if I hadn't moved out to friggin Texas I would be there right now.0 -

He's with a full rockin band? Shit, it's the beginning of the end.0 -

Bring back Jack!NERDS!0 -
Who's the band? IF its a bunch of guys we dont know then it sounds a bit to Cornellish. If its just a bunch of guys from different bands its cool.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0

bullshit.... ed play for like 50 mins...
songs played:
walking the cow, drifting, i am mine, no more war, cordoroy, habit (i think), plus a couple more... all over cell phone... order not exact but close
Also Jack Irons did a song w/ Ed....wishlistfoundation.org0 -
As per a post on RM:
Ed Solo Set:
Walking The Cow
Driftin'
I Am Mine
No More War
With Flea (RHCP) and Jack Fucking Irons:
Throw Your Hatred Down
Watch Outside
Corduroy
Habit
Better Man
The Kids Are Alright
Man, I would've LOVED to have been there especially as Jack was back on the kit, it's a dream come true.
I hardly think it's the beginning of the end, what about all the shows Ed did in 1999 with C-Average?...0 -

For those of us who weren't there, would you have to time to give us little more detail. Like, who was his backing band besides Jack Irons?0 -

lol...you were the one that was there? did you record it???!!From Tim Bierman's interview for 10c job: "what about computers, how are you with computers?" And I was like, "well, you know what, I don't have a computer. I've never had one and I really suck at it." And they were like, "ok, well, you can get a book."0 -
I am too technologically (is that a word?) challenged to figure out how to record. But I bet plenty of other people did.
The acoustic stuff was nice, especially coming after Mickey Avalon who made my ears bleed. But when Eddie brought out Flea and Jack Irons (and I think that was all) - then it really kicked in. Although I missed Mike McCready on Corduroy. But one of the things I love about Eddie and this band - every time I see them they are so 100% into it. So here's Eddie doing ten songs and it's like he's doing them for the first time, especially the non-acoustic stuff. Fuck the MP3s, I wish I had video.
I didn't see PJ at the Fonda when they were there earlier last (?) year but I had a friend who went and said the venue is one not to be missed. Very small. We were maybe twelve people back from the stage.0 -
Thank you Enkidu, anyone else go to this?
