I fear this is going to be a bad week for Cleveland. I really hope blood isn't shed and lives aren't lost. I will be sending peace vibes in the hope that protesters and police are able to maintain respect for each other.
Making matters worse, the state's open-carry gun laws have the head of "Bikers for Trump" telling CNN that Cleveland's streets could turn into "the O.K. Corral."
Ohio state law does not regulate the carrying of guns, meaning that entrants to the convention's 1.3 square mile secure zone are prohibited from bringing, among other things, weapons like swords, hatchets, axes, slingshots, BB guns, pellet guns and metal knuckles, but will be allowed to openly hold live firearms. (Guns are not allowed inside the arena itself, which has a ban on "weapons of any kind.")
anybody that supports open carry hopefully can now see the madness it can cause

Look no further than the BLM rally in Dallas when people were walking around with assault rifles and the one guy got falsely accused as a person of interest...bringing a gun to this sort of thing is irresponsible and only antagonizes the other side.
It should be enough for Trump to win the election (barring my suspicions that he's throwing the election being legit). The black presence (and, by extension, Obama) will be blamed and it should be difficult for Obama's party (particularly when the candidate is a pariah) to overcome.

Yup. You have one of the most despised political front runners in our nation's history and you are openly allowing guns in the area. I mean, what's the worst that could happen. The stupidity of some is unbelievable.

Big week here in Ohio, this really puts conservatives in a tough spot...they are supposed to be the party of law and order, the big time police and troop supporters, which is now diametrically opposed to their big love for the NRA insanity that is open-carry.
Police say it occurred during an impromptu, resident-organized “Stop the Violence Beach Party.” There were approximately 200-300 in attendance at the party, according to police.
A crowd had gathered on the beach and, shortly after 8 p.m., police say unknown suspects fired shots and then ran away.
Although the intended target is unknown, police say Phillip Banks, 19, of Euclid, was struck in the head and killed by the gunfire. He was taken by EMS from Sims Park to Euclid Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A twelve-year-old Euclid boy was struck in the back by the gunfire and was hospitalized for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.
Police said that, shortly after 9 p.m., a Euclid man, 18, was walking nearby in the area of 24000 Lakeshore Boulevard. That's when an unknown suspect fired multiple gunshots at the victim from across the street, striking the victim in the shoulder, according to the police.
He was hospitalized for treatment and his condition is unknown, according to police.
No other injuries were reported in either incident and no arrests have been made. Police are investigating the possibility that the two incidents are related.
No further information is being released.
The Euclid police are asking anyone with any information regarding either of the shootings contact the Detective Bureau at 216.289.8505.

I think this is problematic but I think the average voter doesn't give a crap. Trump is going after disaffected democrats who don't want to see any of the 6 people listed above anywhere near the convention.

Sounds more like a gang hit, then anything to do with the convention.
I guess people will blame anything that happens in Cleveland because of the convention. Hope they do the same next week in Philly as well.
