I don't know much about this stuff - but it seems a little rude and disrespectful to basically deface another artist's work? Or maybe it's accepted among artists??

It's Clepto. The 'e' and 'p' are subtley different. Google him. The asshat is all over the place here and down the West coast.

Ceeto it is.  Thats what I do with all the "celebrities" I don't care for...like BYONC (but make the sound from getting run over in frogger) and the Timberflake.

So my friend Lauren comes to town and finally visits the Mother Love Bone Wall at Easy Street Records in West Seattle today. She sends me this photo and I see one big problem, some lowlife tagged and vandalized the wall and ruined what Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament did. Grunge/Seattle/Andrew Wood/Pearl Jam Music fans from all over the world visit this wall. Really sucks cause we have so many people coming to town this weekend for the Flight to Mars benefit that were planning on visiting this. — feeling angry with Lauren Stockner.

+1 on that. I actually got to visit this last year, it was awesome going to Easy Street after reading and seeing the pictures for so many years, such a great feeling. But that thing is ruined now, what parasite that guy is. Total disrespect. Feel for those visiting and seeing it in that state.

Isn't that breaking the cardinal rule of tagging? Can't tag over someone's work?

usually but I don't see a signature per say on original artwork. so other taggers will not respect rule if it is not signed. we know who did it but in graffiti world could be taken as a regular tag and no actual mural.
