Last night was fun, a lot of empty seats tho. Toms mom introduced them again and Dave Grohl joined them for Kick out the Jams. Only issue i had was the sound at the Forum... aweful if youre up in the wings, gonna have to keep that in mind for TOTD.
Hoping this will work (if not, pointers are welcome to this semi-Luddite, lol), since I've benefited some from others' dropboxes I figured I'd sign up to hopefully share the love, lol. This is far from perfect, but it's what I was able to cobble together, and drives home the point of just how spoiled we are when it comes to Pearl Jam's bootlegs, lol.
Hope this is enjoyed, I'm still on a high, weeks later, lol!

Omg I just listened to about 10 seconds of the prophets Dropbox that someone did in the rak thread and had to turn it off. Maybe I shouldn't have started with bomb track but that shit was unlistenable. I love cypress hill but b real singing bomb track is like tony Bennett singing pearl jam. No thanks!

I get what you're saying, and I understand RATM purists want no one but Zack, but when they're in front of you blasting your brain, they're (Prophets) a whole other beast. Not the same as RATM (I'm guessing, never saw them live), but they're still tight musically, even with the "alternate" vocalists, lol. Tom Morello is a guitar legend, and one of the highlights of the show was the (brief) call-response he did with DJ Lord.
All that said, again I get why this doesn't work for some.
Ledbetterman10, hope you enjoyed the listen.

Oh I sure did. I appreciate your efforts.
I can see where DarthMaeglin is coming from though. The band doesn't sound nearly as good on that recording they did when I was in the arena. Granted, they were different shows (I was in Virginia and I'm guessing what you uploaded was Toronto) but whereas with some bands, you can get the "jist" from a live recording (even RATM), with the Prophets, I think you really had to be there.
There's no question of the quality of sound at the live shows.
The music was tight-lipped Morello- was absolutely awesome. The vocals were different, but acceptable - I've been to many a concert where the lead singer ain't quite what they used to be and the vocals left something to be desired.
Happy days, lol! Finally stumbled across an unedited version of the Toronto show! The DJ Lord intro sounds like an audience source, the rest sounds like it came from the webcast. Enjoy!

I enjoyed the album, but it's major drawback is how much it sounds like RATM. It kind of just makes you want a new RATM album
I wonder if that speaks to how RATM wrote their music? Audioslave has a different sound largely because Chris Cornell was doing most of the writing (at least that's my impression, lol). There's one song later in the album that I can totally hear Zack doing the vocal, lol. Back to the album (listening to it right now, lol), I played it for a buddy the other night, and we honestly couldn't decide if POR is a rock or hip-hop album (not that labels matter, lol). Plus, Toronto gets a shoutout during Legalize Me, lol!

The Apollo is THE LAST place I'd want to see these guys. Seats are tiny and there is no room to move.

Well Living Colour opened and blew the roof off the place. Only time i've ever seen people bowing for an opening band. They were a tough act to follow. POR were incredible. If you ever get the chance to see them, see them. The RATM songs were great, the new stuff raged, Like A Stone with no vocals was tasteful. Cochise tease in there somewhere. Even the hip hop stuff in the middle was pretty cool. It definitely felt like a RATM show. Was awesome to see them in such a legendary intimate venue. Can only imagine what it would have been like to see GNR there earlier in the summer. The small seats weren't really a factor cause nobody was sitting down. There was plenty of room to rage where I was.
