I will never be able to properly sum this experience up. Decided to go Friday afternoon from Indianapolis with no tickets. Got in the car at 1am, hit NYC Saturday afternoon and magic began. It hasn't stopped yet, not sure it ever will. Section 2 Sunday and Section 115 Monday. Got back in the car at 1am and was home Tuesday to vote at 2pm. Thank you so much to the band and the community surrounding it. I sincerely love you with all of my heart and soul.
Mike D - If you ever need anything, anytime or anywhere, call me first please.
I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love.
What a show! Too much hate here, this was an excellent set - forget the expections of a night 2 in a big city, and just enjoy an amazing band playing for 3 hours. Yeah, sure it would be exciting to hear a really rare track, but it didn't happen. That's why they're rare!
Enjoyed my stay on the East Coast doing the 2 Philly and 2 NYC shows. Met lots of great people, had an amazing time. Thank you everyone and thank yo PJ!

I agree, but will point out - we did see some rare tracks. First the obvious - Leatherman. Garden and Leash aren't played all that often (I think each got only 2 plays during the 2013 and 2014 US tours). We also saw Sting (not to mention Driven to Tears - ok a cover, but none the less). Plus Star Spangled Banner in its entirety. These are not things that happen everywhere. I mean not to sound like the arrogant NYer I am, but Sting ain't walking out on stage in Moline or Jacksonville. As the song began I turned to my nephew and said the only thing that would make this better is Sting himself coming out - he lives just down the block.
And, yes, I've seen a couple of those myself in the past (though Garden did finally complete Ten for me, so there's that). And not that I care (Garden was one of the few songs from both nights I haven't gotten before, but who gives a fk?). But, this classification (not by you) of rarity is weird to me. Just because I've seen it doesn't mean it's not rare.
Funny thing is I wonder if people classify Footsteps (Night 1) as a rarity when that's gotten fairly regular play over the last couple tours (vs. Leash and Garden for sure). My son is now 2 for 2 on that and Rats (which is yet another rarity. Just b/c it always gets played in NYC - well, it's kind of appropriate, dontcha think?).
Sick couple of shows. The band was on. The crowd was on. Just tremendous.
I am not the least bit disappointed I did not get Ole or Strangest Tribe.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Well said. I stopped ranking shows a long time ago. The minute I start complaining about what was or wasn't played is about the time I stop going to shows. I'll have seen 40 or so shows by the end of this tour. I had an absolute blast both nights in New York. Two great shows. Hung out with some great friends and enjoyed the city. I can't wait for Fenway (but will be prepared for all the complaints because they might play Betterman both nights.)
PJ fans deserve the bad reputation we have sometimes. I can't believe all the complaints I'm reading, especially about night 2.

I get there was a lot of Ten played between Philly and NYC, but I didn't see PJ live until 1996. So to me these last four shows were my makeup for missing out on seeing them in 1992
1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore
I was at 1 and 2 and both were amazing shows. I found myself in night 2 thinking, "I wish this set list was more epic". But I stopped that shit in a moment. This band has set the bar so high it is impossible to attain. We all got to learn to just enjoy the moments cause, especially in music, you never know how long its gonna last. And yes, night 1 was better than night 2. But who cares! Night 2 was better than anything else going on so we all need to just embrace and enjoy the ride!!
The fact Eddie went to sing with Jessica was all we needed as fans. It showed he knows, and he cares. What more can you ask for from a mega band? Nothing. I got to live that experience through her. A real fan and a band that shows they care about us, the real fans.
I periscoped both nights and the people not in attendance were WAY more grateful than some of us that were.

My first PJ shows were in '92, '93, and '95. Didn't catch 'em again (though I continued to be a fan) until '13. Caught the two LA shows in Nov. '13 and saw them last Nov. In Mexico City ... then MSG 1 and 2. All great shows. No complaints.
BUT ... I think people make a legitimate point when they are a little disappointed to hear so much ""Ten" at shows. I'm not complaining; band can do what they want and I'll continue to love and support them. BUT, the most recent shows I've seen ('13-'16) are really "Ten" heavy.
Is that bad? Well, ... no; not bad, but ... Jesus, man, they have so much OTHER fantastic stuff. I'd love to hear something other than "Ten." That doesn't'make me a complainer or a bad fan. One could argue, that it actually shows how big a fan I am off ALL their stuff. You may disagree, but I really don't care. That's how I feel.
P.S. I don't get how many fans still wanna here "Jeremy" live. WTF!?!? I'd rather hear almost anything BUT "Jeremy." Just sayin'. It's a good tune and all, but ... It's like when people say they like Radiohead, and the only song they know is "Creep."
Just my two.
PJ kicks fuckin' ass regardless of what they choose to play live. BUT there's nothing wrong with fans having preferences and opinions related to the matter.
This moment at this show is everything. Amazing. Thank you to Jessica and everyone at Two Feet Thick for adding fuel to the fan fire for so many years.

WORD! We 'complainers' are not after epic or super rarities. We just know they have so much more that they could have changed it up from night 1. Yes they always are rock the house and I have fun at every show. I always tell my friends that if they would just go to one show with me they would be hooked for life.

Loved the show, set list rocked, sing along's we're huge, guests we're great for a kid born in the late 60's, had a blast with all around me, wife got a little wild during 2nd encore (sorry mid floor folks) but what can you expect from folks that don't go to 10 shows a year every year. I walk away a happy man if this was my last PJ show. I doubt it will be as they seem to be having a tonne of fun on stage these days. Thanks also to MSG for the cold beer and great times.

I haven't had GA to a ton of shows but kudos to the MSG security for their handling of the GA line. Everything was very smooth as far as I was concerned. Got us in 15 minutes before the regular doors opened (which was great for purchasing merch and beers Everything was quick, orderly and stress-free. Good job.
The Even Flow-Sirens couplet was exhausting. Left right away to be greeted by an Even Flow restroom line. Take a piss and then go for a craft beer refill in another line which refuses to move. With the song winding down, I give up and run 4 sections back to 115. Get really excited by what Eddie is saying and expect Army Reserve, instead they play Sirens which was just cruel. Run right back and get the damn beer.
If the band is going to insist on playing Even Flow and Sirens at every show, can they please always do it back to back so we can pace ourselves better? They can rotate Sirens with Future Days or Just Breathe but just always keep it after Even Flow, it ended up really helping me.

Sad for you. You missed a spectacular MM solo played behind his back. And a great short MC solo.
BTW my TM seat the best I've ever had except for front row center in Seattle back in 2009. Section 115 row 9 - I clearly lucked out as this ended up being in the Livenation section and scalper section. I couldn't believe how good the seats were and asked around me if everyone was fanclub and got a lot of awkward silence from people sitting down. Then found out the rest of my row was Livenation. So I ended up being one of very few people in one of the sections closest to the stage rocking out. It was surreal.
I was the owner of "the kid". He had a blast but was mostly in awe all night. His first show so next time he'll be able to rock the hell out.
So thankful for the people looking out for us all night! Like 95% of the people around us were amazing. A couple of drunk elbows to his face were probably to be expected so he definitely earned his tambourine! Hell, an 11 year old standing anywhere for 5+ hours deserves something.
He is still talking about it and was shocked to actually be so close to the band. Even if he doesn't know who Sting or Cheap Trick are. And he's already asking me when the boot will come out!
Also, anyone have any good pictures from stones side of the pit? I was a bit too busy trying to take care of him and rock out at the same time I didn't take many.
I've seen many a PJ show over the years, mostly west coast (Vegas local) and MSG 2 ranks right towards the top. When I realized they weren't going to tour the West I stub hubbed a couple of tickets and called my friend in Jersey and away we went. We were 14 rows up side stage, Mike side and the sound was great! The band was tight and the set list was good.
I liked the set list due to the way certain songs were played together in blocks:
Corduroy, MYM, Once, Animal Deep, Jeremy, Leash, DTE All or None, Pendulum, Present Tense, Breath, State, Porch LB, Sonic Reducer, Alive, Baba
These were 5 chunks of songs that worked so well together that I couldn't believe it. I felt my face was being melted off on them which is understandable being so close to Mike.
IMO Baba was the best sounding sing along of the night. Crowd was way into it.
The funniest thing was when Jeff shoved his hanging light ball so hard it knocked the power/sound out for a second (1st outage). I know it was probably just perfect timing but boy was it perfect!!!
Of course night 1 had the better setlist but that is a trivial thing as I wish I was at a lot of previous shows with great set lists but that is impossible. Enjoy the moment!
Forgot to mention that my highlight song was Leash as it seemed to set a great tone for the rest of the night. My surprise song of the night was Lightning Bolt. I have always liked the song but live it blew me away.

Ya I don't get how LB gets a bad rap. it's fantastic live!!
