Hey D ... what's up? You coming down for Bridge School? Rebecca says hi. She's singing on Saturday but we'll be at the Sunday show. If you're in the area, let us know.

I saw a tube at my door today and expected it to be this, nope from Mr Slater ... the Woflmother looks *fantastic* up close ... love my matching Morrissey set too.

My two Slaters arrived today as well. Love the purples and metallic silver on the Wolfmother and wow, that Ween poster is a good size. I love the way Todd blends colors.

Nicely packaged as usual. However, I was a little distraught that he put both posters in the same mylar sleeve with nothing between them. I had to remove the Wolfmother very carefully so as not to scratch or bend either poster. Appreciate having the sleeve though.

    Peace,

I had the same issue with the three I got ... my method was to remove all three from the sleeve at the same time, then lift them up one by one ... too worried about scraping them if I pulled them out one by one.

I was kind of hoping I'd get matching numbers for the two Morrissey prints ... but, I guess I don't have enough cred to get the #7 print of the first edition as well.

Looking at the Wolfmother, I can't believe they didn't sell out and now are on the bay at cost. Guess there's no love for that band.

honest question ... I'm seriously curious, because I don't know anyone that works for a union ...
Does the union actually give you benefits worth the dues you pay ... or ... is it more a legal shakedown of workers these days?
Full medical, dental, prescriptions (all with copays, of course), life insurance, annuity plan, health reimbursement account, pension($120/yr per credit), 401k contributions. All in all, $46/hr plus @80% to fund all the bennies. And a hiring hall that will eventually get you a job when times are tough. Cost is $178 2x a year plus 1% assessment. So if you make 90K your dues are @$1100 a year. As long as you're available for work, you don't lose your bennies while unemployed. My father was a union man and I am too. I put two kids thru college already,(my third is a soph. at NC St) own a 4 bedroom house in NY metro area, 3 cars, over 150 posters, etc., etc., etc., because of the union. What does Philaarts.com charge for shipping, I didn't see it on their site? Cause I paid $30 on Toddslater.net but shipping was $10.

Of course I paid $10 each to Todd for shipping on 2 posters and they came packaged together in one tube with $6.95 in postage, but okay, rather pay the artist than ebay.

    Peace,

good point, I forgot about shipping ... I was charged $40, but indeed, 10 was for shipping. I just saw that on ebeans, it states original price as $40 ... but, I think it was indeed $30.

Send Slater an email and he'll refund any overcharges on shipping. At least he says he will. I got 6 posters from him but paid around $20 for shipping. But I let him know before the orders were processed, that may make a difference. Haven't gotten them yet though.

I wonder what international shipping is for Philaart's?
Sometimes shipping is nearly as much as the item.

Thats pretty good postage varies so much for international.
I have paid cheaper prices for international shipping to have the item arrive early and delivered to my door.
To paying high prices and it taking anywhere between 4-6 weeks.

Does anyone know why 10c items are shipped from Sweden and not Seattle or the US when your postage is being converted to US$ from AUS$??

In fairness 10C's shipping fees and delivery times are fairly shitty in comparison to others....still love ya 10C tho!
