No doubt, I will be taking a sandwich for the road. Im thinking Saturday at about 4am, after an evening of drunken nonsense, that sandwich is going to be quite tasty!

I am very curious to see where my Saturday night leads me. Again we are staying right across from MSG. After a day of checking out some "tourist sights", I am curious to see where I end up. Local joints? Hotel bar? Times Square?

Should be interesting.

I would suggest going down to the Village and wandering around. There will be some music and some a-fucking-mazing Italian food to be had. Midtown is played out and you will be around plenty the concert nights.
Hotel bar....are you staying at the New Yorker? (You said you were right across the street) They swapped out Cooper's Tavern, which was the bar there forever...and they made it "brighter" --- which was not a good move. Still not a bad place to pound booze but wander down to Mustang Sally's or one of the other older places around there -- Jack Dempsey's? for drinks vs. staying in the hotel bar. I loved old Cooper's was a great place to get wrecked.
Best news is the subway is right there and you can easily get most anywhere in the city.

So just how far is the Village from MSG?
How would Ole SPEEDSTER find his way to The Village?
We talking bus? Train? Cab? Walking distance?

I haven't quite decided, when I go to Katz for a $20 sandwich, if I should have the Corned Beef, Pastrami, or Reuben. Or should I just get all the above?

Sally's closed down I believe. There is also a Mustang Harry's which is where I usually pregame before a concert at the Garden.
