I went to a Gorge 2006 show and while it was an amazing time I'll never forgot, the 2005 set was better. I think it's one of the 10 best PJ shows ever.

This one seems like it was an all time great show given the era/setlist/venue. Really would love to see any show at the Gorge or even Red Rocks someday, if it was a PJ show, even better.

Amazing show! Acoustic set at dusk followed by an enthusiastic performance with 3 encores.
Traveled to the show on a rented greyhound bus full of PJ fans from Seattle to the Gorge.
Sat 6th row center, took some great pictures now if I could only find them.

WOW! That's quite an incredible list of shows you've been to. I'll also be at MSG night 2 and Fenway night 2, and along with Philly 2 I'm hoping for some memorable shows coming up!

One of the best shows I've ever been to. Fantastic setlist. Beautiful venue. I really miss PJ playing outdoors here in the US.

I feel gorge 2005 was a much better show.

I was there. It was pretty crazy couple of days for me. They didn't announce the gorge right away and we bought Vancouver tickets as it was the Canadian tour. Then we decide to go the Gorge the next day and see Tom Petty (biggest cost for us is the ferry, so if we're on the mainland anyways.. why not). Then they announced the Gorge show.. lol. We drove down the Gorge, back up to Vancouver, back down the Gorge, and then back home to Victoria.

    Awesome couple of days. PJ/PJ/Petty.

Gorge '05 is still the best PJ concert I've seen... It seems to me when Pearl Jam comes out of the gates with a rare song or two, you're off to the races. That setlist started with a cover I've never heard and I think it ended with Hard to Imagine. There were b-sides littered all through the set...

Gorge was perfect. 20 degrees and Sunny. Gorge '06 was decent but I think the heat impacted the show. The '06 shows were billed as "An Evening With Pearl Jam" just like the '05 show was and people were expecting opening acoustic sets again. I think the extreme heat impact the band. I always wondered had the weather been cooler, if they had intended to do acoustic sets again.

The Gorge is without mercy in the summer heat :)

2005 Gorge was absolutely epic. There was a magic energy in the air that night. Also, it was filmed with very high quality cameras and there were notices coming in and going out about the filming. Someone who worked there said the band also spent some time with a film crew at a beach that day on the Columbia below the venue...

One can only hope someday someone will do something with that footage. I'd like to think that it was purposefully left out of PJ20 for a reason such as this

Wow I never knew that. Hopefully they release this one day. This makes one wonder if the setlist was that good because of the possibility of the show being released on DVD.

That'd be awesome if it got release on video. We know the 2006 tour was filmed in HD (as the imagine in cornice footage appears in HD in pj20)... I wonder if the gorge footage is SD or it managed to sneak in with HD. A gorge bluray would be awesome :)

I was at Gorge 2006 (Night 1) and consider it an EPIC show...yeah, the heat was pretty brutal. 116 degrees from what I remember. Although there wasn't an acoustic set, the way the setlist was thought out and created (by a friend of Mike's, Chris Adams), the tempo flowed like you would not believe. A good mix of "hits", B-sides, and rarities.

By far my biggest memory was the cluster#$%& at 10Club will call. One tent, only a small handful of workers, and a line a mile long...and we got in line pretty early. We (along with a lot of others) didn't get inside until the 6th-7th song. I remember the sadness/hatred I felt of having to hear them open with "Wash"...from the ticket line.

I WAS able to get "Dirty Frank" live though...so it all cancelled out ;)

2005 Gorge was absolutely epic. There was a magic energy in the air that night. Also, it was filmed with very high quality cameras and there were notices coming in and going out about the filming. Someone who worked there said the band also spent some time with a film crew at a beach that day on the Columbia below the venue...

One can only hope someday someone will do something with that footage. I'd like to think that it was purposefully left out of PJ20 for a reason such as this

Wow I never knew that. Hopefully they release this one day. This makes one wonder if the setlist was that good because of the possibility of the show being released on DVD.
I've seen these signs and extra cameras before too. I think msg 2010.
Really? I didn't see any signs on the floor.

The gorge is probably my favourite box set/ bootlegs if they count as boots. Sounded great and all 3 shows had strong setlists. Once I get my hands on the 4 spectrum shows I can make a decision

I love the Gorge shows. I have the CD box, I wasn't there. But when I started getting back into PJ, this was my go to. All the songs and albums that I missed because of other interests and musicla explorations I caught up with with that box set. It is dear to me. I wanna see them play a show there so bad. I hope one day it happens.

    It's fucking hot!

I was at all 3...05 was the best. I honestly think the 2006 shows were so hot it affected the crowd and the shows overall. All great awesome unbelievable shows, but 05 just had "it".

Hard to Imagine... Opening main set with Given To Fly... HELLOOOOO TOM Come DOOOWN TOM.

Also... Someone mentioned the band was working with a camera crew backstage as well. I believe this was for the Life Wasted video
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."
