It isn't the decision to cancel. It is the decision to wait two days before the show to announce they were cancelling. I love them for taking a stand but this could and should have been handled better.

Or you just donate the proceeds from the show... Poor move by the band and unnecessary.

It's a lot cheaper to book non refundable, I buy insurance for weather related issues. I doubt insurance will kick I n for this.

    My thoughts...

I hope the law gets changed ASAP.
I'm sorry people lost out on seeing a show.
I'm proud of the band for taking a stand.

I honestly don't know if my tampa flight was non-refundable or not

I just wish the band would have played the show and trashed those terrible politicians all night long, then donated the bootlegs to an LGBT organization.

terrible timing by the band and lets not forget WHO made this band and allowed them the longevity...THE FANS!

im sorry I know they are political...I get it, but they should have gone about it a different way rather than screwing over the people that made them

politicians feel nothing from Bruce, nor PJ not playing the state they could care less

The band is really wrong here. Fans understand cancelling but they could of done this a week ago. It really makes them look bad. They know a lot of there fans travel. But now your dealing angry people stuck with airfare and hotels

Yes, they do, but there are some that don't. Some waive that for a better price

Priceline usage is non-refundable Non-refundable airline tickets can be exchanged for credit, you just can't get your money back. There's usually a fee tho...

i just came in here to say that Bruce Springsteen's music sucks. But him influencing the band to do this (which seems like what happened here) makes him really suck.

I align with them politically, have held strong pro-lgtb opinions.... live in new york.

Out a flight and hotel... also the time off work for nothing. Also, I would have chosen a different show in the lotto selections... mine has been burned by this.

I don't mean to start a "flame war" whatever that means. This is kind of a crummy thing to do to fans. Evangelicals and bad politicians don't care about pearl Jam shows and all us 'libs' getting together.

This issue is a losing cause by the hate crowd anyways. It's a matter of time with or without Bruce or pj.

WAKE UP everyone, the reason for cancelling the show at the last minute is intentional. Of course the band could of easily made an announcement one or two weeks ago but it would of lost it's financial sting because the venue would of had time to book another act or event.

You really think it's that easy to find a band on short notice for an arena?
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

  • No, with 2 days notice the venue gets payed for the booking. Just the food and bev people really lose out..

How do you figure? Which band specifically do you think was ready to slot into an arena short notice? Complete nonsense. PJ's tardiness on their decision only really negatively impacts PJ's fans, many of whom are already there, have already booked non-refundable flights and hotels, and will be spending their money there anyway. But I guess PJ gets to pat themselves on the back. So, Win!
