10c has stated that they don't support the list. Personally, I get the impression that they don't really support lining up before the venue says it's ok to do so.

Visiting a city for the the first time and camping out for 8 hours or more is a little silly.

I'll be going to both philly shows and I'll be hitting up some of the best places in town.

this is my take on it as well...ive never been to Lexington before and there is no way im spending the day standing in a line, hell I didn't even do it in my own home town, BUT at the same time I wont judge others for doing just that, I'm sure its fun for those people...to each their own

Call me stupid but I am relaxing in the shade in a nice lounge chair and firing up a cigar.. I have my cooler and this is pretty much what I would be doing at home or in a cigar lounge. I have now done it at 4:07pm the day before a show to ensure the first spot in a line into a concert.

Crazy to some, exciting and adventurous to others. I live in Ft. Lauderdale so the thought of sight seeing does not occur to me here.

Anyway they haven't thrown me out yet. The flag has been planted. I am against the box office on the North / West side and all alone with the wife. Come one, come all and join the fun...

At some point I feel as if people care more about being in Eddie's face than the actual music that is being played. To each his own, though.

If you get there at 8:00 I am guessing you are going to miss the first couple of songs! Tickets say 6:30 start and I am guessing they show up 7:30 at the latest.

I could not have said it better myself. In Denver I was in the 2nd row (did not camp or wait in line) and people at the rail were boring as hell. One dude just stood there and took a million pictures.

My email says 8p show time for the shows I'm attending and that contradicts the ticketmaster info. Not sure about the first two shows but Tampa, Jacksonville, and Lexington emails all say 8p show.

I think Fenway might start earlier because of the strict curfew.

Also, just want to point out it's not really fair to assume it's everyone's first time in city the show they are visiting is in.

The list and numbers work. Is good to control all people who comming and entry with your friends and dont respect the line and others. this is the best way to control the line (until someone prove other form).... worked in 2013-2014-2015

the question is: control the people who arrive early and go out and simple arrive again 4pm. this are the badass.

of course you can go out the line to go to bathroom, to get your ticket in willcall, to talk with friends, to get merch, everyone can made that, BUT WITH RESPECT, DONT GOING OUT FOR HOURS.

Say again: The list and numbers work very well. maybe 10c can help to control that, only one guy from 10c will make the line work perfectly. Everyone will respect the rules.

There is no need of the list though only to allow others to come and go as they pleased and enjoy their day. What else is it used for? The way it works now is fine. Be kind to your neighbour and they will be kind to you and you will be able to do everything that you need before the show starts.

I see I've been getting some pushback on my "stupid" comment. Let me clarify:

Lining up 28 hours before a show to get front row is stupid.

it's all relative. there was a mondo poster event in Austin a few weeks ago and people lined up 5 or 6 days before it opened to try and snag an aaron horkey print. that makes 28 hours for PJ look pretty sane :)

for me? reserved seating > GA
Tempers are wearing thin. Let's hope some robot doesn't kill everybody.

Agreed! Perfect sound, perfect sight lines and plenty of room to dance or sway or just breathe. No you won't get a pick or a tambourine you won't get to risk an infection from drinking from a communal wine bottle but you will feel like an arena full of people are watching you see Pearl Jam.

I've seen the list work and not work. It does not work if people use it the way you describe. And that's not the reason for having a list. The reason for a list is because the line sometimes gets moved and the all of a sudden there's chaos, and the list helps bring some order. It also makes it harder for people to hold spots for their friends. However, without someone official facilitating, the "rules" are left to whoever is the first in line and whether people respect their authority.

I'm starting to see the genius in the Bruce system. It was super organized and all the fans were so chill. No drama.

Just an update! Me and my "stupid friends" are having a blast. We are about 15 of us hanging trading stories of where we are from, and just welcomed a group right from the airport from Milan..

We moved again and will be directly across the street from where the big Alligator sign is for the Sawgrass Mills Mall is. It is under a big lot billboard.

By Gate 5 of the Parking lot and easy to find right by the front of the venue... Come join...

    It is beautiful out..

I admire people's dedication and willingness to "earn their spot". If PJ is not going to use a lottery system like Bruce does, then I think the front spots in the line should go to the people who put in the work to get them.

For me personally, I don't think I could camp out in a parking lot overnight and still have the energy to really enjoy the show the next day.
