Was there a Cliver variant? If so, can someone please post a pic of the original and variant? Thanks!

Yes, there was a variant, but the only difference on the variant is the use of gold ink. I received mine a couple of days ago and the difference is not obvious - but then I don't have a show version to do a side by side.
Can you post a pic of it up please, would love to see the difference between them.
I will take pics this evening when I get home from work.
Cool, there are already a few up on evilbay.

This is disappointing to me, I might sell my variant now. Love this print, but got one at the show was hoping the variant would be more than slightly different.

I'm flattening my Cliver right now, but I almost think the gold ink is what he used to sign with

Agree, that is an extremely subtle difference.

For sure those are gold, but when I looked at the print, everything else looked exactly the same. I didn't compare them side by side yet, since I didn't want to screw either one up because they aren't flat yet, but it looked like a regular print, only signed in gold.

The blade is gold on the variant, and silver on the regular.

OK. Good. It didn't seem like signature ink was what they were selling for more money.
