look, enough of this. i was at the show last night and im DYING to get a recording of it. if you want to be selfish and only give it away to someone in return for good tickets or whatever, then so be it, however, if you wanna go to heaven i would really, really love it if i could get a copy of that...

Look at Lukinfan. All he does (in his words) is relay text messages to the board, and he does it with much love & gusto.
He asks for NOTHING.
And he's been offered tickets to make it to a couple EV solo shows, even to the point of a couple posters offering to collect a buck from all of us, to get him to a show.
...out of the kindness of their FUCKING HEARTS.
So chew on that for a lil' while, and go bugger off with your pristine recording. Hope it gives you eargasms for the rest of your days.

I've been in the fan club for 14 years....so i'm always in the first few rows, and i'm dying for a recording of last night's show. I let a total stranger have my 4th row seat at MSG 2 while I sat in his crappy seat, and I looked for nothing in return but the satisfaction of knowing he was having an excellent time. I don't think it's particularly nice to use your recording as a bargaining tool, and it's certainly not in the spirit of this band...

as much as I want to believe this guy, who would trade something tangible now, for someone's word for tickets in the future? The poster trade makes sense, because thats a trade that can be filled NOW, not next year of the year after.
That being said, it would be completely unscrupulous of this guy if he is serious about having a recording.
