Sorry if this has been asked before, but is it safe to assume that Credit/Debit cards can be used for all merch? or is it cash only?

Scored a Lexington Poster on Ebay last night for $89 shipped. That was a good price. It's nice when someone flips like that. Double your money; but not quadruplie it.

I respectfully disagree. They use, I think, Square for credit card payments, so no printing and fussing around with pen and paper to sign, which speeds things up. You just sign using your finger right on the tablet. It's probably no slower, and may even be a bit faster than counting out money and waiting for change.

Just my $0.02 (speaking of change)

The method used for credit / debit card purchases really depends on the venue,
    Lexington did use Square...
Greenville, Hampton & Columbia had the machines that printed a receipt customers had to sign!!
If you are just buying a few small items...cash is the way to go.
But I do agree that using a card didn't seem to slow the lines down at all...
counting out the bills and making correct change was taking a lot longer,
especially for those making large purchases!!

Quick question as my friend is going to Philly and might pick up some stuff for me.

Flip flops--sold in two sizes or more than two sizes? I usually wear about a 9, would that be the M flip flop size?

Hats--are the two hats identical when it comes to material and shape? I am not usually into trucker hats but if one is less "stiff" on the bill (curvable bill at all?) and less globe-shaped on the dome, I would prefer that over a stiff half-sphere hat like most of the hats the last several years.

Have they been selling a decent amount of posters inside the venue? Have never had a problem snagging one before but am kinda worried about missing out at these Philly shows. Won't be able to make the merch line today as we won't be getting into town til 4 or 5.

Just a "heads up" for you,
if you are trying to get merch at the outdoor trailer...
and REALLY want a poster and the Philly event T-shirt,
You'll have to get in line way before 1pm!!
We got in line around 11:30am in Lexington, and were lucky to score posters!!
A guy we talked to in the hotel said he got in line just before noon and the posters were gone before he got thru the line!
Best of luck with the merch lines :plus_one:

Good point about the method of credit card processing being different at each venue. I had just assumed that the merch truck uses the same form of credit card processing wherever it goes. Bad assumption on my part. I guess I also forgot the golden rule about what happens when one assumes :glasses:

The guy in the trailer in Lex said they had 200 inside.

People camping out for merch? This has gone a bit too far.

It's most likely the same guys camping out for GA...
One guy gets in line for the GA line and his ticket buddy gets in line for the merch!!

On the credit card machines they use - sometimes they go down or the network is really slow and that'll slow the line to a screeching halt. Happened at the Vedder solo show in Boston, they could only take cash after a certain point until the machines came back up. It's always a possibility...

If you happen to notice the credit card terminal is giving the merch staffer trouble and/or isn't working, and the staffer/s look confused and are clueless, don't be afraid to speak up and tell them more often than not whatever the issue is you can resolve it by simply unplugging the terminal, waiting 60 seconds, plugging it back in and attempting again. This should help with possible delays due to standing around waiting for things to get better when they won't on their own.
