I understand, no one wants to walk around with a sign on their forehead reading "I'm a Racist Bigot"... so i get it. These few show their true selves hiding behind a keyboard in a fantasy world.

These people you speak of have shown up in droves to the voting stations of the real world.
    have you?

There are massive amounts of trump supporters who have voted and are effecting a major change on the political landscape. This is not fantasy land it is happening.

Perhaps, but they aren't pulling the Dems to the right. And they aren't pulling the GOP establishment, business community, etc. with them. What he is doing is fracturing the GOP and unifying the left. Is that really a smart electoral strategy?

Of course not, he's Canadian. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't actually support Trump. He just like to pretend he does on the boards.

Unifying the left? The left is fracturing themselves in the same way! How many Bernie supporters are still going to vote for Bernie once Hellary gets the nomination?

Bernie supporters will vote for Hillary instead, duh. They may not like it, but it's not like they're going to turn around and vote for Trump just because Bernie didn't win.

PJ Soul is right. Bernie's voters may be amped up right now, but they will chill. When Obama goes out and campaigns (which he will) and makes it about the SCOTUS, they won't stay on the sidelines.

Time will tell, but I'm seeing a lot of people that view Hillary in the same light as other money hungry politicians and say they cannot morally bring themselves to vote for her that are only even interested in voting due to Bernie and his ideals. Plenty are distancing themselves from Obama as well, he does not hold near the respect as he did in 2008. Again, time will tell.

I would expect most Democrats to come home in November and vote for the nominee. Potentially a higher percentage of Democrats will do that than will Republicans if the GOP convention gets ugly and it looks like the rightful nominee was usurped.

But general elections aren't decided by Democrats and Republicans. They are decided by independents. What are they going to do? Clinton will have a HUGE advantage with independents over both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. Kasich is really the only Republican who might be able to chip away at that advantage.

But will the defection rate be greater than the GOP defection rate from Trump? We know that will happen and Democrats have a natural electoral advantage. So Trump needs to retain more than Hillary. Second, in several key states, Hillary substantially outperformed Bernie (VA, FL, and OH). Hillary showed she has a strong base in those states. And it's hard to envision a scenario where anyone loses those states and wins the election.

I think that Trump will win the nomination, and that every single reasonable voter in the USA will go to polls in droves, not matter who he's running against, to ensure that the next POTUS isn't Donald Fucking Trump. I think that even plenty of moderate Republicans would way rather vote for Clinton than Trump.
