So if one person screws up is this law deemed a failure?
I would argue if they start changing their curriculum out of fear, yes it is a failure
Why would they change their curriculum? Is there proof of this? And how would changing curriculum be reflective of a gun law? I think changing curriculum is pretty common based on your audience. I ve been teaching for 15+ years and change what I teach based on what my students have been through. (Depending on what I ve been made aware of)
I'm not saying they definitely will, but did you read the article above? That's what I was referring to.

no i dont think so it could be much worse theres always possibilities of more attacks i think its a good idea and doesnt hurt to take these steps but im sorry i am one who disagrees with guns anywhere unless you own an abattoir or a farm with animals or you work with police or security bc one never has full self control of oneself and one never knows where life can take them or lead them all it takes is a real crappy day for some ei affairs, drugs, mental illness, injustices, vengenge for oneself or loved ones and the government makes it so easy.... really when man is pushed beyond limits sometimes self control does not exist
so 7 other states besides texas allow concealed guns on campus and so far the world hasn't ended. Nineteen states prohibit weapons on campus and 33 states give the discretion to individual colleges/universities.

Great, but would you be ok with altering what you teach out of fear of your students having a gun? That is what the people in this article are suggesting. Whether professors start doing this or not, is completely up to them. You don't see a problem with them having to consider this?

yeah but what classes would even be affected by this? i'm guessing the vast minority. (political science, some history, english depending on topics...that's it right?)
I think it is unrealistic to think that some students don't already come to class armed. Now they can do it legally and after they have had a background check.
I'm interested to see if the rate of sexual assaults on campus goes down. I think that is a much more concerning issue than lawful concealed carry.
