It's a recognized gay village. And as I said...I have no problem with that.

not really sure... it's the first time i have used it.... i guess if they are on the up and up they will honor the price. not a lot of hotels close to Wrigleyville. to keep costs of cab fare down we opted for this. i will let you know of anything happens.... in case you are looking to use it too.

I don't know if it was in this thread or the other one but someone pointed out to me (complaining - well, whining if i'm being honest - about the same thing) that it's just really early to be booking for August yet. It stands to reason that you will have a better chance at securing something for the whole long weekend when it's not as far off. Personally, I'm going to revisit the matter in May/June - but! and this is a big but! - someone also mentioned that usually when a show gets out at a normal time people tend to hang around Wrigleyville for a few drinks afterwards, which made me reconsider trying to get a room next to the venue because I have to get a flight home early the next morning.

Probably a smart idea. Between now and then there will probably new listings as well.
Still need to get our Florida flights and I'm worried about August..haha

I already have a room at the Days Inn. I was just curious because that whole thing is new to me. I almost thought about trying it out before I booked my hotel room. Good luck !

I jumped on it the Day the shows were announced. I stayed there for the last Wrigley show as well as one other time. I remember seeing a decent amount of other fans in 13, I'm sure some re-booked for this year. It's a nice hotel and a easy walk to the show

simple solution. Book the airbnb. Book a backup hotel with free cancellation. Most hotels allow free cancellation up until the day before. If someone is going to cancel on you via airbnb, it likely won't be the day before.

I haven't been turned down but the renters aren't responding which I guess you can say is a denial...then after 24hrs airbnb cancels on its own...word is definitely out in Chicago
