Would anyone be interested in getting an appartment through Airbnb to share?

I'll be in NY 30/4-4/5 and figure it'd be cheaper to split the cost of a nice pad and likely more fun than getting a hotel.

Or if there are any sane (I'm 48, party days long over) board members who have a room to rent that's maybe an option.

Hey Tom, look on page 1, @kasedoug was looking to share.

For anyone with space, I can vouch for Tom. If that's worth anything :)

We got a good rate at the Wyndham New Yorker (steps from MSG) for 3 nights at $190 per.

I read they hit you up for $40 per day st check in for bullshit charges... they pretty much use a bait & switch on their rates so add $40+ per day on the rate

We (4 of us) airbnb'd a house in Brooklyn for $160 a night. 3 min to the subway or a 15 cab to MSG. So much cheaper and easier than a hotel.

Make sure you check the bed bug registry. I am not kidding either.

Its a serious issue that hasn't really gone away entirely in NYC. Its just not as publicied as it was when the outbreak first started. If something seems to good to be true price wise I would do some research as to why. Just my free advice to all! Congrats to all who got tickets and good luck to all who are fighting the good fight trying to obtain theirs. We speak your names!

Agreed. Watch a few episodes of Hotel Impossible on the Travel Channel and you will never stay in a budget place again.

  • My mom decided to give me money for a hotel for my birthday (was just going to catch the early train back to baltimore) so I immediately logged into booking.com and found a double bed room (my brother is going with me) for $169 at the Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Chelsea. So I grabbed that right up. Not bad being like 2 blocks from MSG.
