i like trolls & assholes, smartasses, sewer system creatures & little guy syndrome having elves. i like those who agitate, those who stir the pot & those teetering on being banned. trolls are easily slapped senseless & generally full of poop.

the best part is, it's free (or cheap) entertainment. trolling might should be an olympic event in both the winter & summer games. several on here could earn their bronze medals

"the negative feedback only only stimulates harsher response from trolls, and their behavior becomes worse over time. So the next time you're being trolled, remember, they want to disrupt you, and they feed off your unhappiness."

I would disagree with that but I don't want to be thought of as a trol.

No, really, it depends on how an opinion is presented. And sometimes what might appear as trolling is just someone trying to be funny. Sometimes it a fine line. I've learned that if I really want to get a point across it's better to just be forthright.

No, a troll is someone who repeatedly says provocative things with the sole intention of riling people up, rather than expressing genuinely held beliefs. Of course you'll ask how I can know that these aren't their true thoughts and opinions. I suppose I can't but when nearly every comment or post made by an individual is of a provocative or disrespectful nature, it generally suggests a distinct pattern of behaviour indicative of trolldom
  • If you support Donald Trump on any social media platform does it make you a troll?
  • If you support Donald Trump on any social media platform does it make you a troll?

Not if you genuinely support him, it justs means you may be sadly misguided

Somewhat true although credit for that must also be given to those who feed the trolls.

B, sometimes people need to be called out on their shit. Fine to be an asshole provocative "stir the pot" but expect that it'll be laughed at or addressed, or somewhere in between.

I've done so, and will happily take credit for the crumbs I might've fed them ;)

As you probably know, I've done just that as well but I've come to believe that there are way to do that which are more effective and there are times when it is better to just ignore the troll and Kat said it well here:

Did everyone see how the troll shrank down to a teeny tiny size when he was ignored?

Have a great weekend everyone. :)

For those time when you really feel compelled to respond to a troll there are ways to do so that make them look the fool and not yourself but that's tricky, takes a lot of forethought and is often just a wasted expenditure of time. But if course, I've done that too!

    Ignore trolls. Fantastic idea.

But isn't Trump a troll? By the looks of it, here on this forum, as well in the outside world, he gets more attention by far than all the other candidates. And even if you don't even include the media in that assessment, people just can't stop talking about the guy. Ignore him though? I bet he would be either pissed or just do something more outrageous to carry on his trolling. And get people to talk about the clown again.
