Is it safe to assume anything close to beach is going to be super expensive in April? I'm sure it is. So people that are really familiar with these 2 areas (Ft Lauderdale and Miami) think better to stay in Miami and figure out a way to BB&T, than the reverse? I would rather get to one spot and stay put than move housing for each show but the seem to be a good right apart especially if you want to stay beach or beach adjacent.

Me too! I looked at center ice, and saw the name of the arena, and said to my girlfriend, and fellow 10C member that we will be there soon...and it will be a hell of a lot more packed!

I went to see Garth Brooks there about two weeks ago and was on the side of the stage, 20 rows up. The place was packed and loud. Good sight lines though.

PJ and the crowd are gonna absolutely kill it. Still can't believe they're opening the tour there - awesome.

I would love to go....unfortunately wasn't successful in the draw this time around, so if anyone has a spare, I would appreciate it very much. Anyway, I will probably get on a plane to Miami even if I can't figure out a ticket in advance :)

    Hi folks

Myself and mate are fortunate enough to be hitting up Ft Lauderdale and Miami. Neither of us have been to either city before so any advice on which area's to stay? Don't want to trouble you good folk for specific hotel recommendations, just keen to see if there's any local insight on area's for us to focus our hotel search on? Any advice, appreciated!

Rent a car and get a hotel close to the Miami arena. The Fort Lauderdale arena is way out west so you are better off staying in Miami. Someone on here had a group rate for Miami hotels that were a walking distance to the arena. You will pay for parking in Miami, but you can park across the street at the Mall for the Fort Lauderdale show.
There are also nice hotels in Ft. Lauderdale/ Hollywood by the beach if you don't mind driving around to both concerts.
Also if you can, fly into the Fort Lauderdale airport. Miami international is a pain.

For you Canadians flying down from Ontario. I just booked thru Air Canada and I'm flying in and out of West Palm Beach Airport. Its a nice small airport, 45 mins to Ft. Launderdale and back from Miami to West Palm airport is an hour and a half. Flight times are decent for return as I found out that coming back out of Ft. Lauderdale or Miami are late arrivals, like after 10:00 pm or later. Coming back from West Palm, your back in Toronto at like 3:20 in the afternoon (leaves at 12:10) so lots of time to leave Miami and get there.
I'm leaving on Thursday Apr. 7th and the flight takes off at 8:10 and were there at 11:18 or something like that, so pretty much leaves you plenty of time to do things that day.
    Total price was $884 canadian
This is the airport I usually fly into and out of when we go down to the West Palm area in Decemeber.

Won GA for Fort Lauderdale, lost on all the rest unfortunately. I would consider a GA buddy for Ft Lauderdale if anyone has GA for Miami and needs a GA buddy. Otherwise I'll be trying for Miami through TM tomorrow.

Cooper? if so, I like your work.

Stay in Miami Beach, S.Beach will blow your mind if you've never been but I enjoy Coconut Grove and Miami Beach proper. 30 to 50 blocks north. If your driving South Beach can be a bit of a pain in the ass because of parking

That's where we're looking... everything I've read makes parking seem to be the main issue.

180 Degrees At the DRB is a nice little bar to eat right by the AAA for anyone going to the Miami show.

I AM going to either the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale show once I buy tickets tomorrow. I missed the pre-sale :(

I need to choose between the two. What do you think we can expect for the first show of the tour? Going to the first show is appealing but will they probably be playing more Ten songs and hits rather than rarities vs the second show of the tour? What about the venues? I feel like the AAA is not as nice a place as BB&T, but I've never been inside either. The seating looks like it might be nicer at BB&T based on pictures. A local alternative station has been talking about it nonstop and called the Miami show the second coming of Pearl Jam! Hehe it's actually the third coming.

The vacation was great! Unfortunately didn't make it up to Jupiter this year, maybe this December when we go back. The weather was so great this year when we were there, we had many days of having afternoon cocktails and really no shape to go anywhere lol. But really would like to get up to Jupiter, sounds like some good times

Have 2, 10c members coming down from my firehouse in NYC. They already bought their airline tickets & they're staying with me. Unfortunately we only have 1 pair of 10c tickets for the Miami show. If anyone has a spare 10c ticket for either show (Miami need 1& BBT need 3) and want to help out a brother from the FDNY, let me know with a pm.
    Thanks,

You're traveling a long way, be happy to be in the building.

I think seeing the show from behind the stage would be cool to do once. I'm sure it'll be great.
