Ok to the professional protesters here who have all the answers , where would you protest to get your point across....

First of all.Not in traffic or blocking businesses.
Parks, city hall, courthouse are all fine.If they want to waste there time.In today's social media driven climate they could have more traction from that angle.

My thought on if you Want to make the country listen.Have every black pro football player refuse to take the field in solidarity on any football Sunday during the season.Every one of them. That will get press ,attention and show resolve. Now you have people's attention.

And ident it's not rascist or predujiced to state facts.

    I never said it was.

To answer Jose, I actually agree with rr here about protest locations and utilizing social media. Though I would argue that blocking traffic okay, just not on a damn bridge.
Can't because it could interfere with first responders.
People only seem to care about this when it's people protesting. I never see complaints about it when the crowds aren't protesters, but, rather, people have fun.
No,anytime this is an issue.not just when a group I don't agree with is protesting.I thought the occupy clowns were a huge waste of resources and services.
I don't think that is an honest assessment. We are all going to be blocking traffic to see our favorite band in a few months and nobody is going to decry the risk with first responders. Every major college and professional sports organization causes twice the disruption dozens of times a year.
OSU games fuck up the city of Columbus like you can't believe, right next to the biggest hospital in town, but nobody cares because sports get a pass.

At least these numbskulls are trying to accomplish something more than mind numbing entertainment.
The difference with that is cars move over for the flashing lights. Nobody would have been able to move in this case.
A bridge is different, that's true, but (admittedly ignorant of the specific geography of the Bay area) I doubt first responders would need to cross the bridge at all.
I get what you're saying but I know the area well and I really believe it was a bad choice of location. If for no other reason, that bridge backs up traffic badly on any average day so I can easily picture this could have backed up traffic onto other roads and access.

And I'm good with the idea of being flagrant in calling attention to an issue (though as I said elsewhere I've also become more in favor of taking action than of simple protesting) but in this case I'm guessing the number of people that action pissed off hugely far outnumbered the number of people it enlightened.

We need to raise awareness about racism, inequality and injustice in America. I'm just not sure this is the way to do that.

What are some actions that might have been effective and would have lead to better gains for African Americans? This is the question I would ponder first.
Getting people to talk about fascism is the key. It's a real problem. And if it means blocking traffic so be it.

I would take a different approach but I respect your avid concern for the issue, Callen.

Speaking as a minority i can say that this is irresponsible and not well thought out. Embarassing even.

What if an ambulance or a firetruck couldn't get through? What if you missed your nerve wracking doctor's appointment that you had to book two months out? Couldn't pick up your young child? All because people stopped in front of you with a silly attempt at making a statement. Go park in front of a politicians house or the police dept. Dont mess with innocent people of ALL colors and ways of life.

    Good job losing support

No your speaking on the part of the majority.
