Matt's solo during EvenFlo in Dublin.....all the other guys leaving the stage completely .....it was great......absolutely amazing and not expected....
Yeah they did that in Perth too...while Matt was ripping it up on the solo the guys were like...off the stage having drinks lol:)
how about just GOING to europe. i'd never been there before. the shows were bonus.
Nice. Glad you enjoyed it. What shows did you attend? I was talking with a nice guy & wife from Chicago in Paris who visited Paris, Bern & Verona, I think.

I've got the boot from Milan & am wondering if anyone would breifly translate the dedication before picture in a frame for those of us not fluent in Italian...
if i don't go wrong.. sorry for my english:
"I want to dedicate this song to the love of my life and my daughter's mother that I met in the beautiful Milano six years ago."
Arnhem: The incredible lage crowd. They filled an entire football stadium. Does anybody know how large the crowd was? To me it seemed 25-30k.
Bern: SLEIGHT OF HAND, nuff said
Berlin: Nice venue, FOOTSTEPS; VERY loud crowd, I could hardly heard Eddie during Black, that was crazy; but honestly, I prefer Eddie if I could choose between 14k drunken people screaming Black and hearing Ed actually sing it
Hey, could you stand another drink,
Better when I don't think,

seeing the band enter the stage for the first time at Leeds festival. What an incredible feeling.
It was brilliant to hear Footsteps in berlin.
Black in Berlin was also very great and not to forget ed's dream at Leeds
1. Wasted Reprise at Reading. Eddie talking about playing Reading for first time and gets emotional. Amazing moment for me as I live in Reading and been to a lot of Reading Fests and to finally see the guys up there was extremely special
2. Encore break 1 - Crowd chanting 'eddie, eddie' and Mr V himself admits Pearl Jam dont come to UK enough! Yet again sounds emotional - great moment.
3. Paris - Black was amazing Mccready (my hero) delivered and I got his pick!
4. Meeting Ten Clubbers at Paris in the que!! see ya in 2007 when PJ come back to UK (you know its gunna happen!!)
'Life comes from within your heart and desire'
~~Wembley 2000, Reading 2006, Paris 2006, Wembley 2007~~
For me it was just the perfect match: going for the first time to both Berlin and Prague, for our honeymoon, and seeing PJ live.
The special moments of the shows for me were both shows. However, a major highlight was Prague's first encore with the 5 man, and also getting Alone, Sad and You Are...
Berlin was totally magic!! The venue, the climate of the show, everything was beautiful!!! Plus we got Present Tense (superb version), Footseps, the Come Back dedication to Johnny Ramone was soo moving. The tag for Black was too much and well some personal favorites like finally getting Crazy Mary and Baba O'Riley
And, last but not least, we met very cool people from the Message Pit
black in milan: ed turns and covers his face with the arm at the crowd singing; touch his arm like "i' m shuddering";
says they saw the final in berlin!
I've been to only 6 shows in Europe this year (12 in Oz after, cause I couldn't get enough)
It was Lisbon night 2 - a big moment for a big group of loving fans when Eddie thanked them for their gracious gift to him, the cavaquinho, lots of men cried that moment... It was pure love in the hall that night...
Personaly for me - My quote from Bertan says it all, we are all lucky to have had many of 'Mike moments' to charish this tour.
Well, i have to say that the shows in Lisbon were amazing... The guys are always so kind to us, and Ed made an impressive effort to speak Portuguese to tell Boom's story in the first night. I was literally without a voice the day after the second show...
We have so much love and respect for them, and i do think they really like to play here.
I don't want to take what you can give

Daughter tag in Paris Another Brick in the Wall Part II
Instead of "hey, teacher leave those kids alone!" we got "President Bush leave the world alone!", gives me chills when i hear Eddie growl that one!!!!
RITFW with the lights on in Paris, being able to see everybody jumping up and down was awesome.
Plus the speeches or tags in Paris & Marseille when eddie thanked the french for their kindness with american people after the 9/11 and apologised for the "antifrench" wave in US (especially the Bush admin) because we didn't want to go to war in Irak
Still waiting for a gig in Paris (in a venue not a festival) since 2006... Spin, spin !!

Lisbon II: 30+ songs, and the guys were just so up for the performance. By far the best show I have seen and I think they truly like to visit Portugal.
The audience was awesome too.
Specifically -
loved the improv that stemmed from the audience soccer chanting.
Daughter and the interplay of singing (Ed and audience) was tremendous - lots of respect shown. Pretty much the whole show was filled with interaction between stage and audience. The ambiance was infectious throughout the whole night.
here in barcelona it was the same!! eddie would let us sing the songs, the crowd sang like half the concert ahah. ok not literally haha
but just like you said-the interplay was awesome.
such an amzing concert i left there walking on air. and i still am. it was life changing for me. heeeheee :]
and yeah!!!!!! Ed did an imrov cuzza the soccer chanting here too! ahahah he got on guitar just by himself first and started chanting "OeeOeOeOeee" hahah then he yells out "second ones in minor" and the band joins in.
You know, it was a lot of fun being on the thread with a relayer while a concert over there was going on. There was always the question, "who's going to relay?" and then it was just fun to watch the thread/set list unfold. It was like a treasure hunt. Fun fun fun

Same here in Barcelona, i couldnt HEAR eddie! aahha! during black, all i heard was everyone around me. it was so great. great tag too, i dont know about the shows in the rest of europe...as i couldnt fund my way there lol.
black here in barcelona we sang it for about 10 minutes or so. i always get teary eyed when i hear the bootleg ahaha
and it was so beautiful, not only did we sing black, like Ed would pause and the crowd would just fill it in in there was never any like space or hesitation by the crowd
after mike went into a wicked solo, and the music kinda slowed down like, everyone was going "tururutu tururuu"
the whole crowd chanting that and then people yelling "cmon eddie cmon!!"
when Ed was singing "i know someday youll have a beautiful life i know youll be a star..." it was just so ....beautiful? i duno what to say honestly.
